I am so against teens being able to drive without a parent or guardian in the vehicle. Not to say that adults can't be just as reckless but to me their inexperience is a public safety threat to all on the road.

Depends. If he's under the influence than it's vehicular. If not, involuntary but I think your punishment is way too light. Dude was reckless as shit speeding during the day while running a red. Imagine this happens in September instead of August and there's a group of kids at that light instead of one cyclist.

True but we all have to learn some how,my father said you're not a good drive til you're in a accident it will make you a better driver,fuck you up,take your life or someone else's but you will learn.
Lucky for me I didn't get fucked up,die or take someone else's life but I learned a car isn't a toy and that that road is nothing to play with or on.
