i have album upon albums on my ipod, entire public enemy collection, krs, kool g rap etc collections
mixtapes
my own playlists for driving, gaming, working out.
a clean playlist for when around children, family and co workers.
movies/tv shows
podcasts (audio and video)
etc etc etc..
i also use my ipod as an external drive to carry files between work and home
i will eventually want to load about a thousand of my 3 thousand cds at 320 kbs, plus hundreds of dvd movies on my mp3 player.
160 GB ain't too much... it's too little.

I just dont like the file conversion bullshit.... A sansa my Sansdisk is cool... Hell even a Zune (I dont know if they do the same file conversion shit) Hell let a MP3 be a MP3.....

i have a 30GB ipod i wished i would've waited a month more to get the 80GB.
Its absolutely no need for that capacity unless you're using it as a storage drive. For purposes of being a portable media player its senseless. Who needs 160gigs worth of music and media to decide from when traveling?
I got a 30gig ifraud thats collecting dust but when i do use it i never have/had more than 20gigs on it at a time.

my brother and i also bring our ipods back and forth to our or other peoples houses who dont have downloads like we do..
we will plug in that ipod to video input on someones tv and watch movies.. did that in P.R. a few months ago. took a few seasons of the wire and some movies.
there are days when i'm in a pure public enemy mood... and its at the palm of my hand
so yeah you wont listen to it all all day, but i can choose what i want at any time, thats a benefit i dont want to lose.

Increasing the drive sizes is cool. The bigger the better as I use mine for movies too. The thing they need to improve is the battery. I remember I had my ipod the last time I got called for jury duty. I wasn't about to sit in that damned lounge watching national geographic bullshit. I fired up some movies and the battery was drained by the second flick.

Shit I wish I had a 300GB Ipod. Between all the entire album collections of 80's, 90's, 2000's, music posted here plus Ipod movies, youtube videos converted to Ipod 160 is nothing. I already got 4,387 songs on my 160GB and I still have to do my 200 CD's I have left and I've not even done the movies yet.

yo it is kinda wastin' time (depending on who you are) when you really think about it. I used to have a 4gb ipod before I got my 80gb, and at the rate that I was d/l new shit, on top of everything I already had, I wasted a lot of time searchin' through what I wanted to listen to vs what I could remove from the 4gb to add it. that shit made me not even wanna update my shit no more.
