word my low budget setup had my neighbors knocking on my door a couple times @ 3AM
SVS subs are the only way to go. Best sub known to man..

I'm on my phone so I can't post much. What I will say is that u are making a giant rookie mistake. ALWAYS get matching speaker sets all the way around to sound most natural. Different brands of speakers sound different and as sound passes from one speaker to another u can tell the difference. If u gonna spend the money do it right. This goes for cars too. The brand of the sub does not have to match but its super important. Buy the best u can afford. Don't skimp. The center channel and sub are the two most important speakers.
I spent a grip on some great speakers in the early 2000's. It's rare I hear a better setup than mine and I always get compliments on the sound of my home theater. Remember quality of sound is more important than quantity of volume. Again same goes for cars.

look i only deal with Bose thats my setup.i have the big boy surround sound an my house sound like a damn theater.yall posted alot of good names but you cant g wrong with Bose period.i can turn my sht u all the way to the max an its loud as hell and it crisp.
Shit I thought I was getting the poor brotha deal. Old boy at the store said they outfit college President's homes and shit. He said my setup was at the top of the bottom.
They took me to the back room for shits and giggles.It hit me I need to get adopted Pool boy, kept man etc.
An older brotha gave me a pound and said welcome to the life changing club. He was coming in and buying some speaker studs.

The main thing with a sub is that it's FAST. I had an M&K sub for 15 years, finally died. A good scene to test your sub is in The Matrix when Neo is in the helicopter and is firing the mini gun. You should hear every individual shot. It shouldn't just be a rumble.

My actual theater room I'm looking to either build my next home or tear down and rebuild in my next house. I'm looking at a home theater seats . I have a big family. I'm hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. What I posted is what I will purchase before Thanksgiving gets here. I don't have the dimensions of the room just yet. That is what I'm building towards . I want to have sound panels to bring in an acoustic treatment. The Atmos setup I'm listening to that set-up after work tomorrow.
I have this A/V receiver with a 14-foot screen, one of the good projectors (benQ?), great visuals. I have the Klipsch RP-280 system.
There's a Dr. Pitt sectional
The room is dark brown like this but with 4 white double doors (like a movie theater) and a fireplace.

Nice. It has all of the connections anyone should need. I looked at that receiver and went with a Denon AVR-X4100W as it fit my needs a little better. Post pictures of your room and setup once completed.
