Colorism aside, as far as dramatic acting goes, Zendaya acts circles around Keke. Let's compare apples to apples, two roles where each actress has had to strip away their looks and portray characters that are intensely dramatic -- Zendaya in Euphoria and Keke in PIMP. At no point in the movie PIMP did I ever really buy Keke as a hardened, lesbian, street pimp it always felt like someone in an acting class being overly melodramatic. Meanwhile, Zendaya in Euphoria felt authentically like a strung out teen dope fiend. The scene where her dealer, Fez, cuts her off and she breaks down outside his apartment or the scene where she jumps out of a moving car in traffic to avoid another stint in rehab. Compare that to any scene from the movie PIMP and it's just lightyears ahead.
