It's crazy! Usually once high dollar German cars are out of warranty, they loose like 60% of their value. A 2016 GMC Sierra Denali that cost $67,000 5 years ago, still go for $60,000 today with low mileage.
We still have our Denali. Sold truck, no issues and still looks good after 20 years (garage kept). I refuse to buy another one because they never brought the dashboard up to modern standards and were charging premium prices. Wife wants this one, but I seriously doubt we'll be getting that shit.

They're not like a Benz, they don't cost a small fortune to fix, if you have a diesel then it gets a little pricey. Gas engine parts can be bought today still relatively cheap.

SUV's been high, but the resale on them stay high as well. I'll allow it.
Their truck prices especially high end shit like a Yukon... their premier 4wheel drive vehicle..... have been steadily going up.... but have always been high priced....
Looked this (GMC Yukon Denali) up and the 2021 version is averaging 80K plus. When did this become a thing? GMCs are costing more than Range Rovers at this point. Am I missing something here? Who's spending damn near 6-figures for an American made GMC?

I paid 84 for mine....
I lowered it 3 inches in the rear & 2 3/4 in the front.
Got everything except the sliding console.
I bought a 2002 Yukon brand new, still got it. Orginal everything in it. 214 miles.
I paid 41k for it fully loaded

North Jersey ain't built for big rims.... had 22's on my Trailblazer..... a flat like every 5-10 days.... after about 8 years I finally said fuck that.... put my factory tires back on it

The tech is not too expensive in american vehicles because a lot of aftermarket companies make replacement parts and upgrades. If you're one of those people that can't do any repairs yourself and are a victim to the repair shops or the dealer, then anything you buy gone be expensive.

Bought a 2018 Expedition XLT full load for 30K w/trade in, said I was going to make this one last just hit 70k on the mileage last week. My son bought a 2020 version for 70k w/trade in of his GLA and if you have them side by side there is no difference

This is me second Expedition last one was a 2007 new only issue I ever had with it was I had to get a new passenger side window motor and it had 210k miles on it when I traded in stayed up on all scheduled maintenance and free oil changes. Me and the family stayed traveling in it till I traded up. I'm taking you had a bad experience with one
You're better off buying new these days
That price is crazy high but when you compare the power and features you are getting, it could be seen as a value compared to Range rover sport (your not getting a range rover for 80K), GLE or X5.
All those European ones will cost around the same fully loaded like that Yukon and you wont get anywhere near the room, power or reliability.
