So what, just because the Lakers come calling doesn't mean give them what they want.
The media complains that the Pelicans are poorly run and incompetent, so why not make a competent step and wait till after the draft to see how things settle.

Yall conveniently skip over the fact that it has been noted that Gayle Benson has taken the steps to improve the front office, medical staff and facilities, because it doesn't fit the "sunk place" narrative that you want to push.
Also with the lease coming up with the state of Louisiana, a disgruntled star player and poor attendance could mean the rebirth of the Seattle SuperSonics.. In short, Gayle can't half-ass it this time.

You can't expect a team that doesn't win often to have much of a following.. Hell even the almighty New Orleans Saints used to have frequent blackouts when they were losing in the 90s.
I'm glad the Knicks didn't get the #1. Wish they could have gotten #2 but oh well. I never wanted Zion. He'll put up some numbers in the Association but he'll be getting posterized half a dozen times a game. Plus he has no handles or outside shot. He won't be able to bully the pros inside the way he did those kids in college. Plus he's from duke. Rarely do their players become great pros.
I was hoping for #2 because Ja is that dude. Now I'm afraid the Knicks will take the other duke guy. He'll probably be okay but we really won't know because playing with Zion we didn't get a chance to see him in situations that let you evaluate his game.

I’m actually glad they got the #3 pick. Because I don’t like the Knicks, Duke, or that guy from Duke so I get to dislike all three at once!
