Looks like he didn’t even attempt to break
With the type of load he was carrying, he couldn’t. Plus, the other driver was trying to go around him, so it seems like he was doing the speed limit or maybe even slower.
I went back and rewatch the video and at the 10 second mark you can see him hit his brakes.
