Well since you wanna bring up numbers, and like you say numbers dont lie well he is 13-14 against teams finishing a season at .500 or better.
You think that the Steelers, Niners, Patriots get to the Super Bowl by beating only teams with a winning record? You think the NFL arranged the schedule so that VY only played bad teams? His so-called record is not indicative of his performance. He's yet to throw more than 12 TDs in a season, nevermind anything close to a measly 3,000 Yards. Totally mediocre. And as far as the misleading record does, he's only averaged some 6 or 7 wins per season, given all the time he's missed. 42 TDs and 42 INTs in 5 years is the definition of "hack."

Okay, Vince Young is emotional as fuck. I don't know if it is nature or nurture but some folks cannot handle that position (emotionally - e.g., Ryan Leaf). A qb in the league is a hard job. However, a lot of times sports writers and fans talk about QB ratings and stats but not about rushing yards. It isn't a historical stat for QBs, but it's the reason Vick is killing em right now (sadly like most Black QBs, they under compensate and never give them Brady offensive lineman). Vince Young had running ability. He had the ability to run for a first and extend drives to keep the defense off the field. He forced the defense to account for a running qb, leaving gaping holes for the running (see Chris Johnson 2000 yards and LeSean McCoy tearing it up when they decide to run). It's never really analyzed cause it makes too much sense (see discussion Cam Newton vs Arkansas QB). It wasn't just a coincidence that VY was winning, he forced the defense to think and react quicker and immensely helped the running game.
