Why grown men love video games

This just coming from this female that was over my place not too long ago...and i was playing x-box 360 while she was just chillen happy to be out of her house. (No we aren't fucking....)

So she's like "why do grown ass men like video games".

She also said "white guys dont play video games as much as black men, they wives makes them get off"....while that's a whole nother convo in it's self i thought i'd just add to that to show you just how fucked up some females minds are.

But anyways i just want to know why do females expect such a complex answer to why we like video games? I mean it's just like a card games, board game or what ever but more complex and visual and interactive.

Now i agree any grown ass man that spends too much time doing anything when he has bills to pay and a wife and kid(s) to take care of needs to switch up his priorities, but i mean dam can we have fun? Us men dont complain when ya'll be on facebook for 4 hours straight calling ya'll sister saying "have you seen Jerimiah's faceboook...."

I mean dam we like video games because they are fucking fun. No more no less.

Most people are competitive by nature but most of us lack the bodies and skills to compete in sports. Nor are we martial arts experts or weapon experts.

Anyone can pickup a joy stick or game controller. So video games allow us to be a hero. We can be anyone from Rambo, Bruce Lee to Tiger Woods.

I've never understood why men are so heavy into gaming, unless the reasons I stated above.

I guess I keep myself busy enough without video games. I don't own any of the consoles like Playstation or WII.

My preference is a nice woman, she'll be all the game I need.

I pretty much gave up playing video games with any sort of seriousness after Final Fantasy 7. That game literally ate 2 months of my life. Vanished. Not getting it back. And this was playing 4-5 nights a week from 8pm - 3/4am.

That's when I realized enough was enough. These games are just getting too long - and have too much shit to do / learn / master in order to be fun for me anymore.


I'm in my 30's now. Who the hell has XXX hrs or XX weeks to devote to powering up a character, beating a game or getting the "perfect" ending.

That was my first game. Hubby played it all the time and i would sit and watch and then i played it and got obsessed with it too. Then after that? It was a wrap. I started looking for the story in every game. That's part of the reason i play WoW now.

What you just said is exactly the reason why I didn't think I could play WoW...didn't know where the story was. Now I see that some people take that story a little too far...
