I just read this http://www.refinery29.com/2016/07/116473/the-night-of-fan-theories

Opened me up to this, in one of the "slide" theories, it says that Fred was from Queens, where the dad and Naz lived. "What if" Fred, was owed money by the step-dad and Fred sent someone (possibly Bodie friend) to kill the dude daughter cause of that.

Maybe it's why he looking out for Naz in jail cause he knows the list of characters, being the dad and Andrea.

They also mentioned the motorcycle driver, which no one mentioned here, I never thought of that.
Also said that the dad was a hunter and he killed the deer on the wall, so was experienced in cutting shit up? Who knows....
 
Notice how they're kinda using the cat's situation to parallel Nas' situation. When Stone called the pound to ask about the cat, and hears all the dogs barking; he's feeling like damn, that cat can't survive in there. Cat is in a Rikers of his own.

But you notice it was the same cat that crossed the street when Naz dad came outside looking for his car?
 
the scariest shit tho is this whole criminal justice system process...wrong place/wrong time and your whole life is fucked regardless if you did it or not...granted nas' circumstances are extreme...but shit being black in this country...an accusation is enough to get you locked up :smh:

and fuck the lawyer chick

She shitted on John, but she just wanted the case for the publicity and being able to be on the news for publicity...she never wanted to put any work in on the case. We'll take your case for free :hmm: and get tens of thousands of dollars of free advertisement in the newspapers and on the news.

I feel where you're coming from but it took a colossal fuck up from him to even be in the position he's in now fighting for his life.
He wakes up, sees the scene, gets his keys, grabs the knife and drives home
It's a fucking cold case 40 years from now.

If this don't also explain to y'all why so many of us end up swallowed by the criminal system.

If you don't have the means to hire good advocacy you become part of the system.

When it comes to going to court you get what you pay for always

and sometimes you don't get what you think you are paying for..

we need more lawyers that will advocate , that actually give a fuck

Is he from Queens though? His degree that he said he's most proud of is from DeWitt Clinton, which is in the BX.
 
taking another look at ep 1. right now... I'm surprised that the cops held on to Naz as long as they did up until the time he became a suspect. They had him stopped for the illegal turn, but they got the call about the break in... so instead of cutting him loose there, they take him to the scene. Then the detective tells them to get him out of there... either cut him loose or have a squad car take him in (while telling them they have to stay at the scene... remember they already wanted to go home, so having to deal with him after finishing with the murder scene would just be even more time). I'm just surprised that they didn't cut him loose instead of having him taken to the station when at that point they just thought he was a bad driver. More dramatic this way of course, but you'd think that the two street cops that wanted to go home would have just said man, take a subway home... if for nothing else, to avoid paperwork.

Yeah same cat, they stated that on the link I posted, like it could of been a reason they put the cat to walk across the street that moment. Some underlying pun that they wanted to insert. Cause you know on a set like that, they would reshoot that if some random thing happened like that.

Man I sat in the crib today and watched all 4 episodes. This is show is good!! Glad to see Michael K Williams and Lord Jamar in this joint.

That's why I say the drugged out white dudes is more realistic. They were in the immediate vicinity of where ole girl got in the cab and neither of them was a stranger to drugs. One of the guys was super aggressive when Nas asked him to get out the car. If Police hadn't rolled up Nas probably woulda ended up scrapping with them dudes.

Now ole girl jumped in the car seconds after the police gave Nas directions and drove off. So she likely saw the whole interaction between Nas and those guys and still jumped in the cab anyway.

Go back and watch that scene again.

Then again, the skuzzy white dudes and police might just be way to show the viewers how they establish a timeline of events. :dunno:

More realistic how? That happened downtown in Manhattan. They would've had to hop in another cab. Follow Nas uptown to the gas station. Then back across Manhattan to the beach. Then back uptown to her place. If there were that serious about killing her, why invest hours of your time chasing her around the NYC.
 
I guess the demand for this show isn't high...takes long af for links/torrents for this shit to get online in comparison to the other HBO shit
 
this show is keeping it 100... the pathologist /ME so willing to say whatever the DA wanted - he refused to analyze the wound even after she asked him 2x!
