HBO: Insecure -- Season 5 Official Discussion Thread (Final Season)

man I love this show

I not even mad that lawrence did tasha foul...that's part of dating sometimes but I didn't think he'd be the type of nigga to feel uncomfortable around certain black ppl smh

issa about to unleash her inner ho lol

Issa and them wack ass sex scenes was awkward as fuck.

Requesting DL Links to the complete Season 1.

Thanks in advance!

the easiest method is to do a free trial w/ HBONOW...it's good for a month...depending on your schedule you can easily watch the first season in 2 weeks

I haven't read through the whole thread but the show is an evolution of her web series: Awkward Black Girl. It's a few seasons on youtube and has some laughs too.

Tasha violated the rules of the fuck buddy relationship :dunno: Lawrence gotta chill on that caring about these hoes feelings shit, bitch told him he's worse than a 'fuck boy' because he acts like he cares and shit. You gotta dick these hoes down and bounce, leave em on 'read' for hours when they text and shit.

As far as Issa and her team :dunno: I think we all know people like all these characters, which is why it's so relatable and polarizing. The debates the show sparks on twitter alone are epic, on Sunday I saw some cat say "It's amazing how Game of Thrones brings us together only to have Insecure divide us again"

issa be looking sexy as hell on the extra little piece they do after the show...think I've mistaken her character w/ who she really is

She aiight, cute maybe, but it doesn't help her with that big ass show every tooth in her mouth smile. Can front tho, she does have some nice ass legs tho

Embarrassed as fuck to say this but the big girl snuck up on me tonight. Ole thick ass Jill Scott legs having ass... When she was getting fingered under the table she gave me a few problems for those few minutes!

Lawrence feeling like a sucker for blowing his load too early, rookie mistake. He should have pre-gamed before he hit the pussy and paced himself. All that soft and pink shit he was feeling afterwards just lets you know that the writers are probably predominantly women :dunno: NO dude is stunting that, I would have told them throw lips to the dick and im sure that would've gotten ol boy right up

that's the thing...I never felt she was sexy watching the show...but the last 2 weeks I've watched the commentary she does after the show...and she's a completely different person...the show feels so real @ times I've forgotten her role on the show is just that

I agree but lawrence kind of a soft dude...looked @ his character differently when he was acting embarrassed/uncomfortable around tasha family

I use to not be attractive to Issa.....man she be looking good as fuck man fuck the bullshit.

And them two white chics...initially I thought alright the blonde one looked aight but the other one wasn't shit.....then the next scene they both naked and then the other one shitted on the blonde one. Lawrence didn't play it right.....but shit at the end of the day he had two females and he busted a nut. On to the next one.

Issa trying to be a hoe don't work. Just not for her at this point and that's not necessarily a bad thing
Molly wanna fuck ol boy but she's being a good person? Actually yes she is.

Man I honestly feel like this episode should have focused on Lawrence. It has this odyssey feel to it.

But this was still a great episode.

Even though I think I do love where this season is going.... I do have a growing concern at the direction of the music since solange isn't involved this season. It's gone away from showcasing indie artists and seems to be almost exclusively focused on Rap and Trap music with the occasion R&b artist. It's not a big problem but it does take away one of the things that made the first season so unique. That it gave a platform for people to hear unknown R&b. That's something Solange is excellent with because of her Saint Herron website. That's all they do there.

This season has put me on to some dope music from people I've never heard of. Last nights episode was the first episode I've heard from more recognizable artists.

She's gonna fuck him and fuck up dudes marriage. I'm sure the number rule in any OPEN relationship is not fucking people both of you know and are friends with and the number two rule is don't be catching feelings. Her and dude have a history so i'm sure they won't be able to just fuck and leave it at that

This season has put me on to some dope music from people I've never heard of. Last nights episode was the first episode I've heard from more recognizable artists.

Season 1 they had King, BC Kingdom, Jungle Pussy, Dam- Funk, Bosco, Thundercat, The Internet, Blood Orange, ErimaJ, Leisure, Guordan Banks, St. Beauty, Chloe X Halle, Sampha, Abra, BJ the Chicago Kid and Anderson .Paak.

The Episodes tended to only have 1 mainstream artist, but it was typically indie kats. Kats that I would know about, but that the general public wouldn't. Also the music was more chill. She still had the rap songs, but she would have pure R&B and not this much trap. Maybe the change in music is from the change in theme of this Season.. since this Season is more about Restarting ones life and last season was about Reflection in ones existence and change.

But this Season has shown a definite shift from the Indies. I mean there are still a couple, but now it's more Mainstream artists. The only change has to be the fact that Solange isn't working in the background on this season.
