I was thinking Magpie and peregrine falcon, but it's a close call either way. You might be right though. But both are similar in size and stature almost

Below are the talons of the Golden Eagle and the Haast Eagle was 60% larger than that

Known as the "Tiger of the Skies", Haast's Eagles are one of the only birds to ever be the apex predator of an ecosystem, a distinction they hold mostly because there are no predatory mammals on New Zealand, but also because what the fuck is going to step to a pissed-as-hell mega-raptor so ungodly gigantulous that it's wings blacken the sky and its insanity-causing shrieks presumably caused deafness and incontinence in anything unlucky enough to hear it. Gigantic, feather-covered instruments of God's Unadulterated Fury, Haast's Eagles stood six feet tall, weighed a little over 35 pounds, and had a wingspan of roughly ten feet. These goddamned things were, no exaggeration, the size of hang gliders, tore ass through the densest jungles of New Zealand with the dexterity of a howler monkey, and boasted black, pointy, fuck-off claws that were about the same size as a modern-day Bengal tiger's.

Nan' one of them dusty crows rushed the hawk.

In mother nature, you have to roll with killers. Damn shame he picked the wrong crow set to claim.

A hawk came around my neighborhood one day making a lot of noise. All the other birds and squirrels got ghost.

looks like youre right, pied crows aint even that common in the U.S.
Ain't no thing. I've been watching animal shows since I was 5 years old. Marty Stouffer's Wild America, Animal Planet, all that shit. You remember I had that pic of me holding that sand viper. I would have gone into herpetology if I had even the slightest tolerance for biting insects, flies, mosquitoes and shit, lol

Bald Eagle destroys Great Horn Owl and feds it to eaglets.
