Have You Ever Cheated Death?

Ever been in a situation where you barely came out alive?
Maybe you swerved a speeding car
Or you left a scene right before some drama popped off
What happened?

Bar-room brawl, knew the guy was going for a gun. Grabbed him, he turned ... I'm almost' bear hugging' him. Something in my head (my guardian Angel) whispered 'move' and I rolled right, gun went off, I make dude release it. Did know till later my homie behind me, caught a 38 slug in the thigh... everybody survived but shit was CRAZY... Country-Ass Hole-in-da-wall spot.

Look up the deaths that have occurred in Rockaway Beach.
I think I was the ONLY person to have survived.

I was 11 0r 12 (jr. high)
a bunch of kids I knew from the neighborhood were going to the beach,
to play football on the sand.
I went.
there was an odd number of people,
so I sat out until more kids came.
I went into the water,
I just kept jumping up and down,
up and down.
next thing I know, my friends playing football were miles in front of me.
(the under-current pulled me way into the middle of the ocean)
I was trying to get my friends attention,
they didn't hear or see me.
I went under the water, came up screaming 2 0r 3 times...
I took a deep breath and went under.
I was content with dying, only because,
No one heard me.
No one saw me.
I was ready to die, I saw no way out.
I took a deep breath and went under
then I just stopped moving.
But i felt a wave, push me forward.
I felt another wave push me forward.
right at that point, I said to myself, this is my way out.
don't move let the wave push us forward.
I held my breath,
and was pushed by five or six waves...
I made it back to the shore, I cried, prayed, thanked God.
and went home.

Every year people die in that beach. SMH

Tire blew out on i95 going about 70mph in the left lane.
:eek2:
Car started spinning around.
I thought i was dying that day.
:(
My rear slammed into the side of another car stopping my spin but leaving me facing oncoming traffic.
:eek2:
Cars and trucks swerving around me as my car was slowly rolling towards the side of the road. So slow that you could crawl faster.
:smh:
My steering wheel was locked up.
All i could do was watch the cars swerve around me and hope i made it to the side without a head on crash.
It eventually made it and i got out shaking.
A few cars pulled over to see if i was ok.
In the backseat of the car i hit was a baby that slept thru the whole thing.
:eek2:
Fucking pig gave me a ticket for failure to control my vehicle.
:angry::angry::angry:
Fuck the police.

I was going to an after-party at his townhouse , but I was a little buzzed from the club. Strangely enough, I fell asleep in the townhouse parking lot; I awoke about 45 minutes later: parking lot looked much fuller. But man, I was too tired to even try to go to the after-party so I left. A couple of days later, I see my homegirl's pic in the paper; I had seen her that night in the club.

Come to find out she was murdered in that after-party townhouse. Some fools couldn't get into the party and shot the townhouse up and she got hit in the back. Instead getting down, she tried to go up the stairs and that's when the bullet got her. This is the odd part, just the other week she had told me about the first murder in our city and she went into deep detail. & come to find out she was the second murder.

A few times...

The coldest day of the year -10 or something like that and this car pulled up at the end of the street and a guy jumps out and just starts shooting at a parked car that is pulling off from the curb and here I am in the middle of the street really not paying attention facing the shooter dead on,bundled up with winter gear on and it didn't hit me until i hear a faint whistle go pass my ear and then I could smell the gun powder .The guy turned around and got back into the car and took off.
I was lucky,I didn't know shit about shit because it was to cold to know,I've never been so cold in my life,it was painful to be outside ,my finger tips were raw and my feet were froze....I dodged that bullet.

My father said "You sure you wasn't fucking someone's wife cause that's the only reason some fool would be out in that weather",I was still in high school, like 9th grade.

I was with this overly energetic chick once and we was crossing 34th street in manhattan..

she looked at me and said... you saved me I almost got hit...

the way she looked at me, bruh I just wanted to know when my marvel movie was comin out..

Anthony DeCulit was a Brother who shot up the Main Post Office in Milwaukee. He was a Clerk in a section that took damaged or bulky letter mail and cased it by hand because it couldn't be done by automation. He was the only Black person in the section on 3rd shift. He was married to a White woman and had two biracial kids.

The CACs in his section constantly fucked with him over his kids and taunted him relentlessly. I was a Mailhandler and operated "Mules" and Forklifts.
tow-tractor-tr4500-hero.png

The Section that I was assigned to before then was the Small Parcel and Bundle Sorter (SPBS) which was adjacent to the Letter Cases where they worked, so we ate lunch in the same break room, played Spades and Dominoes on breaks, etc., so we knew what the CACs were putting him through.

Anthony was a big dude. He was built like a Pro Wrestler and spent his free time in the Gym. He could've wrapped ANY ONE of those CACs around his waist and broken their backs.

Joan Chitwood was the Supervisor. She was a petite, frail little bitch. Imagine Bader-Ginsburg with Judge Judy's mouth and attitude constantly over your shoulder pressing you to increase productivity to compete with other Post Offices that had all brand new facilities. The bitch was an atrocious overseer and I'd had it out with her on numerous occasions while pulling Dispatch. The article linked says 12:45 am but the shit was at 3:45 am.

Joan also oversaw the Dispatch of the mail coming from the 4th Floor as an eyes on for the Supervisors up there, the Dock is on the 3rd Floor. As usual, she's there sounding like the Wicked Witch of the West cackling into her Motorola and attempting to press us Operators into pulling the Hot mail first, blah, blah, blah.
We'd blow the bitch off, cuz ONE, you're not our Supervisor and TWO, WE KNOW what the fuck Joan!:hmm::angry:

I'd just hooked up three pipes of Star Route Mail (rural mail for out in the sticks) and taken off. By the time I made it to my final stall on the Dock and unhooked, the crowd came running out of the doors meant for Mules and Forklifts. They were screaming that there was a shooter and to run!

Mike, the Star Route driver looked at each other like:confused::rolleyes2: FOH! We went on to separate his mail by each town and then the floodgates were opened. Everybody came rushin' up out that muhfucka with Managers right on their heels screaming like a muhfucka.

I don't consider that I cheated death because Anthony had his intended targets, but a couple of folks caught ricochets off of concrete columns and I could've been one of them not three minutes earlier.

Anthony killed the muhfucka who gave him the most grief and he tried to kill Joan but only caught her in the eye and she survived. She was short and managed to attempt to duck fire behind a Letter Case as he was aiming for a headshot. If I had been connecting my pipes or APCs while he was bearing down on Joan, I'd have been right in the crossfire.:smh:

He killed them and then took himself out. I and one other Brotha were still there to pull Dispatches and clear the scene while the Police did the investigation. We got first-hand looks at the bodies and the carnage that happened.

Joan, I almost wanna say that it couldn't have happened to a better person, but yo ass got paid.:money::money::money::hmm:

Back in January on a Tuesday night i had a vivid nightmare that my grandmother died, I woke up and had this overwhelming feeling of anxiety and that something bad was going to happen. On Wednesday evening m mother called me and said my grandmother was going to the hospital. The rest of the week i still had a feeling of something bad was going to happen.

At the end of that week on a Friday afternoon I had a horrible headache. I got home from work and tried to lay down and sleep but was just not feeling right and could not relax. I got up and went to urgent care cause I still had a headache and my chest was heavy and it was to late to see my primary care doctor. I got to urgent care, thry checked my blood pressure and immediately told me to get a ride to the ER or they would call an ambulance. By the time i got to the ER my Blood Pressure was 280 over 176, talking about cheating death, if I didnt get up that night I would have mostly died or done permanent damage to my body.

1) Got stuck up by 3 brothers, one had a gun aimed on me while the other two ran my pockets.

2) Almost tipped over a three wheel electric forklift I was driving on a loading dock. Thank goodness I had the presence of mind to drop the forks into the ground which slowed the spin enough for the forklift to right itself.

3) Horrible car accident, thank goodness there was no passenger with me because they would have died. I suffered some broken bones but I'm good as new now.

The number of times that I escaped death in Afghanistan is mind-numbing too.
Kamdesh, Nuristani Province. Our Team built the Combat Outpost (COP) from the ground up. I was the first one fired upon, luckily it was just a disgruntled farmer with no fucking aim whatsoever. I didn't even hear the shots over the din of the river rapids, just the bursts of return fire and then muhfuckas yelling for me to take cover.

There are a number of videos about when it was FINALLY overrun, about two years after we laid the groundwork for the COP but what it shows is what we went through and never got Air Support when we called for it. We had a JDAM (Joint Direct Attack Munition or 1 Ton Bomb) dropped danger close into the side of one of the mountains. The shit would go from like 8pm til just before sunrise...they'd disengage for morning prayer.

th

This video is talm bout Coalition Forces but we built it FOR CF to occupy it and none of them would upon seeing the terrain and the extreme disadvantage but Colonel Nicholson of 10th Mountain had his sights set on becoming a General like his daddy. Mission accomplished.

I received the Bronze Star for that tour but the Spurs that we were given to us from 3-71 Cavalry are worth far more to me. A handful of Engineers did battle with them and there's not a peep about us in Jake Tapper's book The Outpost. :dunno::lol:

I also have the smashed RPG head that didn't explode but was aimed at where a I slept under the stars in a patch of marijuana. The compound in the head was too damned old. It just collapsed on itself.

What was the cause?

What was the cause?

Man stress and heredity. High blood pressure runs in my family, it just got to that time where i couldn't beat genetics anymore, I used to control it wirh diet and exercise, now I take 3 pills and exercise to keep my pressure normal. The Hospital staff told me they had never seen anyone with blood pressure that high, they say the emergency level is 180 over 110. I dodged a major bullet.

Damn how old were u at that time?

Almost got squated like bug on a windshield by a bus going over 45 mph that I didn't see back in college. I was about to walk across the street of an intersection after the walk light turned on. I was looking straight but never saw the bus in my peripheral that ran the light. Luckily a cac chick on the other side screamed out loud & I stopped right as I saw her. A split second more, Llano would have been gone 20 years ago.

35 back in January of this year, I turned 36 in March. My mom been on blood pressure meds since she was 28 and she always been athletic like me. So i always tell brothers to check that shit frequently if it runs in the family no matter what. On top of that it took me like 4 months to find the right mix of medicine that didn't give me bad side effects

I had a PTSD episode where I was triple digits over triple digits like that. It was an Air Show with the Blue Angels. One jet had an issue so they escorted it back to the airport to get it fixed so there was about a half-hour of silence, other than an Emcee droning on in the interim.

Once they were back up and running, they came back and without and I wasn't paying attention to the Emcee's background noise anymore. Those muhfuckas were flying just above the surface of Lake Michigan with a mist in their wakes and the muhfuckin' sonic boom took my Black ass right back to a bunker in Afghanistan, making peace with a higher power.

There was a tent set up by some Big Pharma there taking blood pressures to tell you to "ask your Doctor..." and they took my BP and were like :eek2::eek2::eek2: wondering why I hadn't already stroked out.

The muhfuckin' VA wanna tell me that it's not Service-connected though.:hmm::angry:

What's fucked up is that you don't feel it until it gets like outrageous. It creeps up on you because you feel fine.

Man it threw my vision out of wack for like 5 months after and my kidneys were functioning at like 50 percent but got back up close to normal when I got my bloodwork done last month. Man that blood pressure is a bitch, it will fuck up your body systems and you will have no clue until its too late.

Yep, ex wife lost control of the car in the hov lane on 75/85 (ATL), slid across 7 lanes, getting hit by two cars, ended up perfectly parked on the opposite side in the shoulder lane. Got out the car with only one scratch from the shattered glass.

Almost drown twice, almost fell off this ditch, almost choke to death over some weird reaction to a grape snapple, was supposed to get mauled by a bunch of pit bulls but for some reason they didn't attack even though I fell literally in front of them( 1 juss pushed me with his paws and barked real loud), almost fell off a terrace playing tag, I didn't roll to an event with two of my boys cause of the weather(they both ended up getting shot 1 eventually died from a botch robbery), almost got electrocuted by this hanging wire in a ceiling that literally fell out of nowhere in front of me missed me by less than a foot and hit the floor and mad sparks started going off, close calls with vechiles, 3 dudes wanted to slice me up for beating up their boy( only reason why it didn't happen cause I pulled out something sharp and was ready to gauge their eye out, I was 12), other shit

Passed out on my motorcycle in Blue Ridge, GA

I was taking methotrexate.
Rode from Atlanta to Blue Ridge in 90 degree weather with a full face helmet
That helmet saved my head from fracture
