My Browns SUCK. I mean, seriously SUCK. That team has been run into the ground by bad management, piss-poor leaders, and mediocre drafts. I was born and raised in Cleveland so a few things are in-born. I hate that school up north. I hate the Stoolers, though I respect them, and I love my Cleveland Browns. But this constant losing shit is hard to take.

My brother dumped the Browns in 1994. As not to be a bandwagon jumper, he picked up the Jacksonville Jaguars before they even played a down. He said, "This is my new team." and he has stuck with them. I envy him, but I can't seem to do it. I can't let my Browns go.

Have any of you successfully dropped your floundering team. I am not talking about a team like the Cowboys who has had one bad year. I'm talking about a Detroit Lions, Kansas City Royals, Pittsburgh Pirates, the LA Clippers (although they really don't count because you have two teams in the same city). I'm talking about teams that have had a decade worth of seasons where they haven't put together consecutive winning seasons.

I grew up a Knicks fan. Went through all the heart ache of game 7 losses, I still get sick when I think of Pat missing that finger roll. As I got older Kobe started to become my favorite player but I hated Shaq. When Shaq went to Miami in 04' I bolted for the Lakers immediately.

I feel like a true fan because I went through the First round losses and missing the playoffs. It's not like I just got down in the past two years while they were going to and winning the Finals.

I still root for the Knicks but all the old Knick players I liked are gone and then all the foolishness and the hiring of D'antoine (I hate that guy) pretty much sealed the deal for me.

Nope. I take flack for Redskinis but I was a youngin in 83 and saw them win the superbowl. Then they went 3 more times after that. I know people who are still waiting for their team to win an AFC/NFC championship let alone a Superbowl.

I actually rooted for Buffalo as my AFC team during the 90s. Dissapointing but I liked the team.

I used to work at the stadium in 1993 and 1994. When Metcalf ran those two punts back I damned near dropped my footlong basket. Itis not good for a football fan to work at a stadium.

I've been a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan (as only a Kansas native can be). I've watched this franchise squander home field advantage, great defensive teams, great offensive teams, you name it. I think Carl Peterson did more to ruin this franchise, but Marty Schottenheimer took the blame for all the playoff defeats.

I still root for the Chiefs, but I also find myself rooting for the Tennessee Titans, who also seem to know a thing or two about blowing great opportunities in the playoffs.

The only time I ever did this was back when I was younger. However, unlike a lot of people I switched allegiances right after my then favorite team at the time won the Super Bowl (49ers in Super Bowl XXIX).

My reasoning at the time was I had no other reason for liking the 49ers besides my uncle being a fan of them and my hatred for the Cowboys. I became a Carolina Panther fan just before their first game mainly because I had more a connection with Carolina compared to Jacksonville which is what I would've been had I not become a Panther fan.

I love the Browns, but also root for the Bengals (since being from Cleveland they ARE in Ohio) EXCEPT when they play the Browns. I also root for the Ravens, EXCEPT when playing the Browns (They USED to be the Browns).

I consider this move the "Godfather Deal". Remember in 'The Godfather' when Vito Corleone said no to the Turk on the drug deal. He got shot and almost died, Sonny got killed, Michael almost got killed and he ended up signing up for the same deal that he turned down in the beginning.

THAT is the Cleveland Browns.

The City tried to screw Modell, basically told him they refused to pay for a new stadium even though the Indians got one. They thought they had him. Instead he took the team to Baltimore and the city ended up paying for a stadium ANYWAY.

However, I refuse to root for the Stoolers. Period.

Now, I do have a little love for the Pistons because I lived through the Badboys era. But even with the Pistons, once the Badboys disbanded, I immediately jumped over to the Bulls.

Hell, I was actually rooting for the Lions to go 0 and 16 in 2008. That shit was hilarious. Guys around here--especially CACs--were ranting and raving as though the disposition of a Football team's season was a life and death matter.

I admit to being a band-wagon hurricane fan but drop them a few years ago for my home team "THE FIGHTING ILLINI".
