Hates going around breaking many hearts.

. . . but government is an inanimate object: it has no feelings or sight; it cannot smell nor hear; and it has not the ability to think.

And to be more specific, government is us, the people. The people we put in their, by voting or not voting reflect our sentiments toward our society.

The govt should be able to adapt if it cannot people lose confidence. The problem with this govt is it practiced slavery and segregation so people have century old grievances. They probably won't be solved without war or revolution.

Stop looking back!

Stop looking back!

Actually war and revolution would be looking forward. I think it will be a war of values, ideals and nationalism not a race based armed conflict. But if Reps take back the presidency and pass Ryan's budget things could take a turn for the worst the elites could see that class warfare they dread.

"Dread"? It's already started and they're winning. Winning the White House and the Senate would really put them in the driver's seat.

They are winning financially but when you look at the last few years they are losing morally. The Obama, Tea Party, Occupy Wall St, Trayvon Martin movements show the potential for a national populist revolution it just take one unifying moment and boom! new ballgame. They have to be terrified but if they take back the presidency sheer arrogance and hubris will make them roll the dice one more time.

rich vs the poor would be a dumb ass revolution

but it would make more sense than black against white

people vs the government is the fly shit

no the people R not the gov....yes ...but he'll no

deviated from that a looooong time ago.

Completely untrue. The government has always been the people. The people who take the time to go out and vote, get their way, at least for two years until the next election. Obama and the Dems won strongly in 2008 and got a lot done even with a uber-resistant opposing party. The Republicans won even more strongly 2010 and have been having their way all over the country.
But it plays right into the hands of the oligarchy and plutocrats that so many people feel disconnected from the government and become cynical and don't participate.
People need to stop falling for the banana in the tailpipe.
People are beating money in Wisconsin right now. People are beating money in Ohio, right now. It can be done but people have to do it.

Don't worry about that. That was then, this is now.

I think it is that cut and dry. People have to participate en masse and all the time. It's not enough for working class/middle class and poor people to show up in November every four years for us to get what we want. I hope we've learned how lesson from the 2010 elections. The same way we turned out in 2008 we need to do that every election.
