I have an elderly mother who turns 75 tomorrow who has chronic bronchitis and COPD among other respiratory issues. I personally don't give a fuck the side effects are or are perceived to be. I'm gonna stay taking the vaccine for her if nothing else since I visit her frequently.

This statement on it's own is not saying much. That's what a vaccine should do. It doesn't speak to any side effects of the vaccine and that's where the problem lies. What she should let us know is what the antibody levels are for an unvaccinated person that got covid vs a vaccinated person. That would be more relevant to the argument for or against the vaccine.
