get a book about something your child loves - make him read it if you have toDLateshow said:I ask my 10yr old was he interested and he said no. Then went to Kroger to get some ribs and there in the middle of the aisle was a huge pallet of them. Seems most kids love them or hate them. I was hoping mines like them so I could get him to read a book.

Series dropped off after "Prisoner of Azkaban" (best movie and NO DOUBT the best book of the series). Now it's less entertainment and just a need to know how things play out.
J.K. Rowling has more money than Elizabeth II due to these seven books. Wow.

Have you read the Harry Potter books or seen the movies, Buk, thought so, shut up then.................BigDaddyBuk said:i find it hard to believe that it's the best fiction ever...i guess that's according to taste.
i'm glad for the writer, i hope the fans are satisfied with all of it.
that being said...
...i still don't give a shit about this.
geeking out over Star Wars and the Hobbit/Lord of the Rings was enough for me, and that was all in the 70's and 80's.
Give them a shot Buk. They're an easy read and the story is actually pretty engaging. The movies more or less are just "highlights" of the events in the books.BigDaddyBuk said:i find it hard to believe that it's the best fiction ever...i guess that's according to taste.
