Hardest Puncher Of All Time

Maybe, but Shavers was a big man. Rocky Marciano was small by comparison and small for a heavyweight at any point of the modern era. Dude was 190 straight murdering dudes 240-250 with one punch.

Not saying he was the hardest puncher but I would have liked to see him fight in person.

Don't think his power translated well on television.

The way he was making dudes quit, makes me think his punches were bone breaking.

If only he could of been able to fight in the championship rounds, smh. I remember every fighter was scared of his power. I think some fighter once said Shavers punchs separated the flesh from your skull on contact, lol.

Not arguing against Shavers, I just think p4p Marciano was the hardest punching heavyweight. I wouldn't want to get hit by either of them though.

Marciano had tremendous power for his size ....

Buk I also heard some crazy shit when fighters describe Shavers power...

Besides the obvious choices (Tyson, Foreman, Liston, Qawi) What about Ron Lyle?
and somewhere on that list you gotta put Mike Weaver

This is according to Ring Magazine(P4P):

1. Joe Louis
2. Sam Langford
3. Jimmy Wilde
4. Archie Moore
5. Sandy Saddler
6. Stanley Ketchell
7. Jack Dempsey
8. Bob Fitzsimmons
9. George Foreman
10. Earnie Shavers
11. Sugar Ray Robinson
12. Ruben Olivares
13. Wilfredo Gomez
14. Rocky Marciano
15. Sonny Liston
16. Mike Tyson
17. Bob Foster
18. Thomas Hearns
19. Khaosai Galaxy
20. Alexis Arguello

I can see Marciano, and Joe Lewis up there. Jack Johnson would be up there if he would of fought in another time period.

I totally forgot about Shavers though. It's crazy looking at those highlights, and see Shavers not even defending himself because the opponent is scared to punch. That's when you know your punch is devastating.
