This info is the info that a lot of folks like to keep out of the conversation when they try to compare the plight of Irish, Italians etc to that of Black folks.
On the grassroots levels you always hear stories from Irish, Italians, Jew Mexicans etc....i.e. groups that got shitted on by Native Europeans in the past...talking about how their people made it out of adversities. But you never hear about the grimy journey that a lot of them took to get to that position. You also never hear about the "hand outs" ...handouts that still arent accessible to Black folks....that they received in order to get the ball rolling.
Imho....a lot of them arent survivors...theyre just free-loaders and more willing to side with evil people in order to get put on. And unlike Black folks....every other group of color (like Asian, Mexicans, etc) can take advantage of WHITE PRIVILEGE because of their WHITE FEATURES. Theres a lot of factors.......
As for Black folks. Racism is a factor when it pertains to a lot of our financial failures....but a lot of our financial issues has to do with our insecurities. We spend too much money in order to hide our pain. We dont know how to invest...we just know how to spend; and we spend with people that arent interested in doing business with us. Asians, Arabs, a few Native Africans, etc. We invest in evil people.
Americans as a whole have bad spending habits...but im more so concerned about Black folks. We have Black business owners from the past and present out thee tryna each Black folks how to do business in this fucked up country..but we need more.
EDUCATE THE BLACK PEOPLE!!!
It wil be a process due to so many of us playing follow the leader..but it can be done bit by bit.
start small...work your way up.
Foreigners dont come over here to be rappers and play ball, not that there's something wrong with it, but they take a realistic approach to success once here.
I agree that Black folks need to be debriefed on how to take care of business. But you also need to get out more. SO you can learn how a lot of the "foreigners" that you vouch for get down. It aint as simple as you make it out to be.
Btw......some of these same foreigners that prosper in this country are being ALLOWED to prosper because of the doors that was opened by BLACK AMERICANS. When Black folks were fighting for rights and doors to be opened back in the days...they were indirectly fighting for all people of color to prosper in this country. Cause truth be told when pale faces settled in the country...the plan was to make it all White; like a "new Europe". Pass that message along to all the wetbacks, Native Africans, Asians, White Washed Middle Easterns etc etc that like to shit on Black American and claim that we havent accomplished anything since we've been in the great USA.
