Thank you to my ancestors that refused to let Neanderthals and their so-called black agents (who are still active today) destroy us and pass down wisdom to allow me to navigate through being in captivity in my own home land.

Isn't Juneteenth a Texas thing? Only Texas had enslave people at that time. In 1863, after Lincoln told black folk they were free in the rebellious states most of them walked off the plantation and into the fighting forces. So, African-Americans freed themselves. Nonetheless, Juneteenth is a Texas thing.
Its a celebration of an event in Texas, but ADOS celebrates it. There are Juneteenth celebrations all over the country. I posted pics from the 1 in Harlem last year earlier.

1. The quoted post reminded me that we don't give our Ancestors enough constant praise, respect, and honor they are wholly due. Of the "estimated" 13-million of us that did not survive the journey from Africa to america, we are the progeny of those that did, those are God-like attributes.
2. Even though we take this time out for a celebration, this "Juneteenth", when you understand how it truly came about, "Military Order No.3" it's hard to celebrate that. Therefore, I choose to focus on the endurance, wisdom, tenacity, and absolute undeniable genius intellect that is the root of African People.
3. Currently, we have some issues, but as my brother, Malcolm X once said, "no court order, case, or legislation will make us free, only seeing each other as true brothers and when you do something to one we see it as doing it to us all will things change. Then we'll stand up for each other and take the justice we are due, you won't have to do anything for us"!!! Victory through attrition gentlemen & women, y'all have a good time!!!

Samething I’ve been thinking. I only found out about Juneteenth about 10 years ago and was like it should be a hated day. To find out you were freed TWO YEARS EARLIER AND THE STATE GOVERNMENT FINALLY DECIDED TO ENFORCE IT! That line about them being so remote that it took awhile for the news to reach them is BULLSHIT
