That's an EXCELLENT IDEA! Very ORIGINAL... This is BLACKGIRLONLINE, so why not have a forum section dedicated to uplifting and education of the people??? There are so many knowledgeable brothers and sisters on here it's UNREAL...
I actually wanted to change the title of this thread, because due to my "day-to-day", it's going to take me longer to complete than I thought. I really don't want this to be limited to February. I Pm'd a mod on how to change the Title (edit didn't work) but got no response.
I'm with you 100% on another forum section though. BGOL can be a jungle... Let's make a watering hole where the GAZELLES, LIONS, HIPPOS, ALLIGATORS, CAPE BUFFALO, CROCS, HYENAS, LEOPARDS AND CHEETAHS can all come and drink knowledge...

Great title and your right, its not too late. In fact I was thinking about "Black History Month" and I was thinking its not only the shortest month of the year but we also lose days to the groundhog, Valentines Day and Presidents Day. Even when we get a little something we get the shaft along with it.
Black History Month is simply too short. The knowledge of our history continues to be suppressed and ignored. Yet by our acceptance of only February as our designated month of celebration we're shortchanging ourselves too. Should we allow our government to dictate when we can focus on our history?
This doesn't have to be. I'm going to check with HNIC about making a "Black History" forum. As Melonpecan stated there's a lot of information here yet there's so much more that exist. It would be a crime to discontinue bringing forth this knowledge just because "Black History Month" is about to end.
As a people we have become complacent why I don't know. Maybe because we have Black History Month?Really? We don't need a month. Our rich history as a people cannot not be correctly presented in one month.
Information like this needs to be presented in its own separate place and always available to those with interest in it. What's your opinion?
