They just had a debate with Patrice Oneal, Judge Hatchette, Geraldo and the two white people.
Basically Oneal said all rappers should support Imus b/c this will open the flood gates to an attack on rap(hip hop) and will kill free speech.
Judge Hatchette and her fine self said, hip hop needs to be attacked (I am paraphrasing they kept interrupting her and aksing her why rev. al or jesse jackson werent attacked like Imus was and Oneal kept getting mad and saying this will cause an attack on rap)
Earlier they had Matt Hasselbeck's wife on and they ran down everything Al and Jesse has said that has been anti-white and tried to defend Imus with it and basically said why can't we all just get along.

my question is does anyone agree witn Patrice Oneal that this will lead to an all out war on rap b/c of the lyrics in songs? Or is that a stretch?
 
I was watching a similar debate on cnn with larry king, he had serena williams talking about racist at her tennis tournament and a nasty statement a Imus employee made about her. there was also della reese al sharpton and james carville. bo dietl one of the guys on imus's show was there defending him what an idiot. Basically nothing substantive came out of the discussion but serena's testimony about her experiences with racism and della reese speaking about how she used to be violated openly in the past was very touching.

2) Deflect blame for EVERYTHING

3) Put said blame on the colored man

Though I'm not a big fan of rap, I don't think Al Sharpton, Della Reese, or even Serena Williams will have much if a impact on abolishing lyrics in rap. it's gonna be up to the women of rap do that.

Just like on this board guy say what they say becouse of how they feel. If there wasn't any anger towards women who don't carry themselves like women then there would'nt be a need for "bitches". Not woman who commands respect is called a bitch. Dudes relate to the term becouse of the behavior of these ladies. Example...shorty wanna suck ya dick couse you got money.

Yeah rap does need a overhaul not becouse of the obsenity, but becouse of the lack of creativity.

yes and this is why i didnt want Imus fired. the spin these crackas are gonna use on this is gonna be CRAZY! Tim Hardaway will never be associated with the NBA again and Isaiah Washington is off Grey's Anatomy...and thats just a start.
