I'm pro-guns like you wouldn't be. You don't want to be caught without one when you need one. Most sickening feeling in the world.

I'm of a different approach on gun laws since I know what would have stopped myself and most of my peers from everyday carry: Tough laws for illegal carry/possession. But hey, go ahead and target 'muh straw purchases' and background checks. Like that would have stopped us.

If illegal carry/possession is more than a decade to the day instead of a fine or papers, a lot of gun violence is cut down. It's either cats voluntarily leaving the straps only for missions or involuntary because they locked up on 100k bond or doing 10+.

As for training aspect of laws, shit ain't rocket science. I remember cats being high, drunk, all kinds of shit. No accidents that I recall and they didn't have formal training. Mind you, I'm not against training. Not at all. Safety is just easy IMHO, but a gun jamming in the dark when you need it most can give a person a stroke. Better learn how to keep the gun clean or it could be your ass.

I own several and wouldn't have it any other way. I feel gun ownership is a must for black men. Sadly, too many goons out here that primarily target their own. These white fools just waiting for zombies and shit.

I would but it's not like there isn't already stiff penalties for possession of illegal weapons. I think part of the solution is to allocate resources to fixing the socioeconomic problems where a lot of violence takes place. That's where the gangs, drug dealers and other lowlife scum tend to reside & take advantage of the conditions as opposed to the nicer areas that don't allow for as many opportunities. Shit still goes down in the nice areas too but they're more in the background or higher level.

Oh they caught him, but I learned a valuable lesson about the justice system......his lawyer pushed the trial date back, so that I'd be in Orlando when he went to trial.......(No Witness-No Crime).......BETTER TO HAVE IT AND NOT NEED IT........!

My next rifle will be a bolt-action. Just a matter of what caliber I'll get it chambered in. 308 and 300Blk are the options. Might pick up a Ruger 10/22 as well just so I have a 22lr in my arsenal though I'd probably rather a bolt-action in that as well.

I shot a Remington R700 in .308 that my NAAGA chapter president owns. Definitely got some kick to it so I'd be looking for a muzzle brake to put on mine. I have one on my 224 Valkyrie and it makes shooting it even more fun. Took her out to 200 yards this past weekend and let some newbies give it a try. They absolutely loved it and felt very lil if any recoil

Was out in Fayetteville at the Harrison Gun Club outdoor range where they have 200 yard targets. Was my 1st time shooting over 100yds since switching my scope over from MilRad to MOA and not having anyone calling my shot adjustments. I used the Strelok Pro on my phone to do the base level adjustment math for me based on my scope (Vortex Venom 5-25x50) and bullet type (Federal 224 Valkyrie 75gr target ammo). I was on paper and hitting the steel so that was satisfying. Next goal is to tighten the groupings and push out to 400 yards

By the way, I only had my scope set to 12x magnification so that my reticle was more stable and wouldn't jump all over the place.

Hey Bro, I purchased a muzzle break for my .300 WinMag. I haven't used it yet. but that thing is a work of art... The machining is excellent. One of the guys in a hunting club I was a part of recommended it to me. He has several.

I bought the clamp on so I can put it on and take off at will. But you can purchase a threaded one if that's what you want.

But, they are top notched...

When he told me about them, I was like, "What?" He said that they'll tame some of that recoil, but they are loud as all get out too.

Yeah that part I'm familiar with. I've been next to ppl with muzzle brakes and some of them are beyond disrespectful. The worst was being in an indoor range next to a guy w/ 2 short barrel AR pistols and muzzle brakes. It was so bad that damn near everyone in the range just stopped shooting and stood outside of their bays until he stopped shooting. Just bout everyone of them was mean mugging him for having guns so damn loud

The problem with ammosexuals is that they want everyone to have guns, but make excuses for cops that shoot people that might have guns. They want the convenience that bigotry allows, all while pretending to be pro-gun. I have guns and I was trained to handle and shoot by my US Marine uncle. I'm responsible, and I don't make guns part of my identity. I don't take dumb family pictures with my kid holding guns, and I don't talk all that "it's for a tyrannical government" shit, because I've noticed the hypocrisy of people that cheer on a tyrannical government.

I feel you. The indoor range close to me lets you go .308 and no higher. So I take my .270winchester there. The other stuff is for the outside range.

At the Wake County range here in Raleigh, I've seen mostly standard AR calibers along with .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor. I can't confirm whether anyone has come in w/ something like a 30_06 or 300Win but I wouldn't be surprised. I didn't see any signs or recall any mention of those calibers being prohibited. Only thing I know was not allowed were green tip and other steel core armor piercing rounds.
