What I said was my 10.5 runs the best out of the piston uppers I have. I'm talking in terms of maneuverability, reliability, and being suppressor friendly. I have had issues with gas blow back with my D.I. Ar's, when used in conjunction with suppressors. Piston driven uppers gas systems are adjustable, they can be set to the shooters liking.

I have a 16" and 8.5" 300 BLK, both are D.I., so I can't speak for the piston variants.

I have owned AR and AK pistols, they aren't practical in my experiences. They are meant to be shouldered, which doesn't lend well to pistols.....
 
I just really like the idea of a rifle caliber in a compact design. I know yall do the sbr's, but I technically don't own any guns so I have no reason to file any forms for an sbr.

:smh: @ the sbr thing yeah I would admire the SBRs from afar if you are opposed to paperwork. Thing is (which you probably know) having an upper less than 16 inches in the house with a functioning rifle lower is a no-no. Yeah sure you're not gonna get popped unless they kick in your door for something else and find it but I don't need those type of problems or do I even like thinking about giving them bitches 10 years of my life on some dumb shit. :(

I was all over that MPX, had it preordered and everything, when it had the integrated muzzle brake that could easily be turned into a suppressor. That was before the ATF neutered it. Then I found my Scorpion EVO it was less than the MPX and when you suppress it you don't get all the gas and debris in your face like you get with the MPX. I haven't heard one person be totally content with that MPX purchase. It was a good idea but once you pulled the layers back on that onion it just isn't worth it.

You need a lower that has always been classified as a pistol lower with a pistol buffer tube attached. A lower that has been classified as a rifle can't go back to being a pistol. So yeah as long as you have a pistol lower in your possession you should be good. But to have a rifle lower and bunch of short uppers nah that's a no go. So I say all that to say make sure you have a designated pistol lower with a buffer tube that can't accept a stock. Again I ain't trying scare anybody but just putting the info out there. The stars all would all have to aligned to get you caught up but yeah but it's good to know what they can pop you for so you can avoid that shit.
 
I am looking at an 9mm (sig vs cz). I love the ar lower on SIG, but the CZ has better reviews. I will put in my Form 1 but I think I need to make up my mind what to get

What's the appeal to a rifle sized (even if sbr'd) pistol round gun?

I like the opposite, a pistol sized rifle round. Minus weld kill flies with a sledgehammer :D

I think he's talking about the Sig MPX vs the CZ Scorpion EVO 3. I say get both.....:D
 
I want something with a reduced signature and cheaper round. I have a tavor with the 9mm package, but I am to lazy to change the barrel and bcg. I was reading that the SIG has a had some issues and the CZ don't have any blowback (in the eyes) with a can on it, but the SIG seems like an old friend (ar type) lower reciever

IMO you can find some better subcompacts for close to that price

I'm looking at a Sig P320 compact.
 
Good, and I know there's better but it's just tempting with a price like that. I don't like Ruger anyway

Yeah, the P320 took the good things about the P250 and improved it. The P250 got terrible reviews.

It's cool you can change it to if you want a 9, 40, 45 or 357. It cost $300 something though.
 
I was looking at the sig site a few days ago and it looked like all they had in .45 was different variations of the P220 and P250, and of course some 1911's.

Does the P320 come in .45? Subcompact?
 
That's a private sale, Chi. Don't expect retail to be close to that

That x-change kit is cost prohibitive for a gun with a "horrible" trigger that I can replace for less than the cost of the kit.

X-change kit is $399. LNIB P250 posted is $275.

I'll wait and let my first Sig be a different one
