Bgol accounting.. Sheesh
Bro.. My 1st publishing check was 100k. I'm nooooooooo where near his level. He was getting mil ticket advances (from labels & pub houses) a long time ago.. Apparently he recoups if he keeps getting them. Smoke & mirrors at times, but I'm pretty sure he's legit. And don't forget that he's put a lot of artists on. Those advances filter thru his hands too. I've never sold a million records & I don't have a 9-5, but publishing sustains even little ol me.
Gucc been in the game since '01. We were in the mix at big cat records. The bag was heavy then g
First let me say congrats on your success. I know who ya'll are. Been hearing your production since you were trying to get on. My man from Huntsville put me on your stuff long time ago. I'm from Atlanta, used to work in the industry in Atlanta, and New York when the bags were much heavier trust me. Gucci used to be managed by Jacob York when he first came in the game. I know what that paperwork looked like, and trust me he ain't eating off a lot of that early stuff like that. But the bag being heavy is subjective, so I will let you have it. Just know that over my 20 plus years on BGOL, the BGOL accountants have been right more times than wrong. I don't practice counting another man's pockets, so I'll wish the young brother the best. I have seen this story play out before many times.
