GTA Online: Rockstar Apologises With GTA$ For All Players
But deleted characters are gone for good.
Rockstar has announced it's giving GTA Online players half a million GTA$ as compensation for multiple launch issues.
The cash will be given to anyone who's played Grand Theft Auto Online during the month of October, and will be delivered in two deposits of $250,000 each in order to avoid destabilising the in-game economy.
While Rockstar has yet to confirm exactly when the money will be dished out, the studio is hopeful the first batch will arrive next week, following confirmation that the most recent patch has indeed resolved the issues that caused characters to be deleted. The second instalment should arrive before the end of the month.
The announcement reads, "For players who experienced cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online, we hope this GTA$ helps to facilitate a fresh start or makes your continued life in Los Santos and Blaine County extra sweet."
As previously mentioned, to qualify you need to have played GTA Online during October. Additionally, you'll have to install a new title update (1.04) due for release next week that should hopefully sort the issue that's causing purchased vehicles to disappear.

Okay, I am looking for the hidden packages I am early in the game, haven't done many missions and just hooked up with Mike (just to let you know where I am).
I am at the package by the plane wreck in Paleto Bluffs or some shit in the middle of the ocean. Went down and didn't see a briefcase. I'm using Franklin. I found a rifle, but no briefcase with $12,000. Is it just not there yet because I am too early in the game or am I missing it? I got the scuba gear and I been searching, but I see no package. I found another shotfun, I am looking by the tail end of the plane and nothing yet.

I even found a rocket launcher. But other than a few medi packs and some weapons that's all I got.

Damn, I had a feeling they were gonna give some money out for the issues but not that much. Nice!
Are some hidden packages only available later? swear I am exactly where they say I am supposed to be (I'm at the sunken tugboat and I see nothing. I just came from the wrecked airplane just north of this point and I saw the armor (that I couldn't pick up because I had the tank on) and some guns, but no money.

I lucked out today and hooked up with some random people that had sense... I completed 3 survivals for 60K... today was a good day
The limit is $0... Rockstar disabled it.
You can split money from a store robbery, or recent mission.. But just deciding to share what you have in the bank doesn't work anymore..
