TAMPA (FOX 13) - Powerball fever is hitting a new high, and one mega-pool in Tampa thinks they have the best odds of scoring big thanks to the 72,500 Powerball tickets they now hold.

Ryan McGuiness and Shane Krugman started the pool with a minimum buy-in of $500. They closed out their group with a total of $145,000 worth of Powerball plays.

"Pure chaos. We started this thing as a simple Facebook post, hoping to get maybe five or 10 people in. And we closed it out with 290 people," McGuiness said. "I would say 95 percent is friends, or friends of friends."

possible 1.6 mil each after taxes if nobody else wins.
I wouldn't say no to that.
Even if after the smoke clears it turns out to be 500k they still made out like bandits.

They said you can buy every possible combination for something like 580 million and make a 300 mill profit, but if someone else hits you plan is fucked.

There's actually a lesson here. If 300 trusted BGOL members contributed ~$1600, we could buy a franchise or start a legitimate business.

Oh, the possibilities.

True. But every last one of the 300 participants has to be in a position to drop $1600 *and* be team players. Otherwise there will be a post every three weeks wondering what the hell happened to the profits and several power struggles. I once had a pre-paid legal cat try to get me fired because I would not re-up $50 bucks or be a part of the MLM team. Like I didn't notice that all the females looked alike and kept shushing each other when they broke character - turned out to be his inlaws.

I'm just kidding btw :D

damn i need in on the recieving end of all this spending..i never wanted to be the consumer juss the person who profits from them

by the way 145,000 i believe in ny the person selling the tix get like 6 percent of all tix sales so if them nigs went to 1 store with that..that store made over 8 g's from that pool... it's a great time to own a lotto machine

All these ballers on here leasing luxury cars and living in mini mansions can't drop $1600? All you need is a figure head with a solid business plan to jump it off. There's better odds of seeing profit than sinking that kind of money in a damn powerball.

72500 L's served tonight.

Even with 72500 tickets their odds weren't even half of 1%. No, their eyes weren't even a quarter of 1%. Put that in perspective. And I bet you that these people did not have that kind of money to lose. Damn fools. I haven't checked my tickets yet, but I only played $10 so in the end I just bought lunch for tomorrow. No real big loss
