Ground Beef & Cabbage Stir Fry
Savory Ground Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry with a Touch of Soy Sauce
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
4 cups green cabbage, shredded
1 onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
Stir in the shredded cabbage and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.
Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if using. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
