Never had a song that grabbed me. Just never liked them. And i strongly disagree. Downtown isn't even, No. I think that was their worst song. Right Here and Rain are just some of the BEST. And Right Here?? You'r going to go Downtown over You're the One?
Man. Whew. Yeah everyone is entitled. But i don't even see how that 1 is even a possibility. lol
"You're The One" had an annoying beat. But, for me, the slow version of "Anything" is my favorite SWV song.
Sometimes I think cuz of the era we were in that we look back so favorably. SWV & TLC I'll jump out on a limb and say ones the only one's to have an actual legacy. My personal favorite, based on their work, was either Brownstone (produced by Michael mafuckin Jackson) or Xscape. Agreed with whomever said that SWV sampling Mike Jack Human Nature was their biggest 'thing'. I miss 90s tunes tho. The dude trio/quartets (Intro, All4One, Immature, et al) paled in comparison to what the chicks was doing, IMO
BROWNSTONE's first Disc is the first neo-soul cd to me. Fuck kedar and ppl labeling movements 8 years later. Mike Jack started that whole lane...
Wow, I can't believe how En Vogue is being dismissed!

And Soul II Soul and Brand New Heavies predated Brownstone as it pertains to a "neo-soul" vibe.
