Great African Kings and Queens

Ya, that is crazy, a beer company sponsoring the history of african kings and queens. But it is something that more people should be aware of.

No doubt, part of walking in the light is opening an umbrella when it rains :D

Excellent Thread How did I miss it????

I was pondering some things last night that lead me to do some searches on the lost/Stolen artifacts that were stolen at the beginning of the Iraq Occupation/Crusade. I came across some interesting things and even happened to run up on a page full of Old African Artifacts and books:

This is the African Artifacts Links

Fire ass post. Taharqa approves.

lol I bet

TAHARKA
KING OF NUBIA (710-664 B. C.)

Taharka is probably one of the most famous rulers of Napatan Kush. He was 32 when he became king and was heir to a kingdom that included not only Kush but KMT(Kemet) as well. He is said to have commanded military campaigns in Western Asia as far away as Palestine and led expeditions all the way to Spain. Mention of his great campaigns can be found in the Bible (Isaiah 37:9, 2 Kings 19:9). During his reign, Taharka controlled the largest empire in Ancient Africa. He was able to initiate a building program throughout his empire which was overwhelming in scope. The numbers and majesty of his building projects were legendary, with the greatest being the temple at Gebel Barkal in the Sudan. The temple was carved from the living rock and decorated with images of Taharka over 100 feet high.

i've frequently heard this "we are the descendants of kings & queens of Africa" speech,,, and that sounds great because it gives you Black pride,,,

but realistically,,, it is impossible that most of us descended from royality,,, as big as Africa is,,, everybody couldn't have been a king or queen,,, i'm just sayin'

Logistically, we would mostly be comprised of coastal if not explicitly West African ancestry

Thank you a million times Over Champ. Now those are the posters that I was talking about, when the board was disscussing King Tut.They show look black to me.And like I said then,do you think white people want you know that you are part of one of the most intelligent civilization in history? Hell no.Those poster are not new they have been around since the early 80's.And i still believe that you can order them.I use to snatch em up out of EBONEY MAGAIZINE back in the day.So thanks again Champion.

A very excellent and inspiring post DarkVoid. I noticed that most of the rulers from the 16th to 19th century were able to resist European exploitation by uniting their people. Gives you food for thought doesn't it? No wonder they will try everything to keep Africa from being united. We Africans should look into our past and learn from our ancestors so we can control our own future.

Once again, excellent post.

So true but dont confuse people appreciating history and culture with living in the past.

The same way you pointed out that not all africans are descended from royalty allow me to point out that not all Africans are poor, uneducated, in America, or anywhere near the stereotypical list you recited.

IMO - if you aren't trying to make the most of your talents and life for the betterment of yourself, your offspring, your culture, humanity etc then you are wasting your existence.

We still need to know, respect & teach history so that we can have the proper ideas about what our future can be.

Amazing post. Over 3/4 th's of the world history is African history. We are the forefathers and mothers of all life and civilization never let them make you forget that.

THANKS FOR THIS, GREAT POST, I ENJOYED GOING TO SEE KING TUTANKHAMUN'S ARTIFACTS IN PHILLY LAST YEAR, BEST BIRTHDAY I EVER HAD:yes::yes:

Cleopatra VII was a wigga bitch. She wasn't black. Alexander The Great replaced the original Egyptian aristocrats with some aristocrats from his own country and Cleopatra the VII was a descendant of them crackas. Only thing that makes her special is she was the first descendant of those Hellenistic crackas to learn the Egyptian language and adopt all their ancient customs and traditions.

lol

Man, dont you know that statement is a retort against the "you come from slaves" propaganda?

People use the "kings and queens" comment to instill greatness and honor in our youth when only servitude and meekness was seen throughout the history books of American education during "the great miseducation".

You should know better than that coming from an HBCU, guy.
