I don't have the exact answer but we should start demanding more. It doesn't just stop with a vote. We have to hold these people accountable as well. This happens every election. Politicians promise this group this....this group that.....yet, while everyone else is getting their demands met in some form or fashion we are still sitting around with our tail between our legs with nothing being granted.

In this country, its clear what our problem is. You are only as strong as your weakest. So the first step in improving our situation would seem logical to try and fix our hoods and the poor. But it seems the rich are the ones who are the beneficiaries.

It just seems like to me we do more internet talking and bitching than we do actually getting up off our ass and demanding shit.

It's pathetic, you have you crabs saying he hasn't done anything for Blacks and most whites think he's a racist pro black militant. Shows how stupid most Americans are.

Obama signed a bill striking 'Oriental' and 'Negro' from federal code

President Obama signed a bill into law Friday that strikes derogatory terms for minorities, including "Oriental" and "Negro," from federal law, The Hill reports.
"The term 'Oriental' has no place in federal law, and at long last this insulting and outdated term will be gone for good," bill author Rep. Grace Meng (D-N.Y.) said in a statement.
The House of Representatives and the Senate both unanimously passed the measure, which will replace the words struck with terms including Asian-American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, African-American, Hispanic, Puerto Rican, Native American, and Alaska Native. Julie Kliegman
