Re: GOTHAM - TV series about the cops & criminals before Batman! (Official Discussion
Who said anything about it being based on Nolan's interpretation of Batman?
That's all they ever do nowadays, and I'm tired of it. It shows fear that they don't believe that their source material is good enough. And it's not.
I like those other Batman films because I can and have opened my mind to them. But I'm tired of only getting other people's interpretations of DC stories. Now I want something closely resembling the roots of these characters as well as continuity between shows/films.
Everybody doesn't want shit to be based on Nolan's flawed Batman films (except Batman Begins). Don't get me started on that shit again.
The great thing I like about DC Comics is that they aren't afraid to write non-established or altered stories about their top characters. Some of my favorite Batman comics are the Elseworlds series. So basically if you can't open your mind to something DIFFERENTLY interpreted about Batman you won't like it? So why did you like those last Batman films so much? I can give you a list about all the shit they fucked up that was already established in the comics. Just saying...
