GOTHAM: New 'young' Batman - themed series on FOX

"You got taller"

:D and he IS...

they should keep that aspect of th Joker from the comics, like he KNOWS to a certain degree this all a show!

Just like breaking the crystal owl...he just HAD to try again!

I think y'all forget that "gerome" is not the joker. He is the ideal that creates him.

It's better without Batman imo because like last night the city shows a need for him. And Gordon is all it has right now.

Cousin Jay...

that was one of the BEST episodes of the series...

it was so damn balanced

It was the closest we are ever going to get to a LIVE ACTION Batman the Animated Adventures...

It truly is GOTHAM for once...all the moving parts of the city

I can't fault them because Jerome and Bruce just happened to have iconic performances.

great chemistry...making WISH he was Batman already

(the staple gun>>>>>)

the actor who plays Jerome?

like I said the very FIRST time we met him?

has somehow some way...combined

ALL the incarnations of the joker: Caesar Romero, Jack Nicolason Heath Ledger Mark Hamil and the current DC comics version

and made them his own

(and can we have a moment of applause for the Nygma...he has been one of the pillars of that show from JUMP)

There is NOT a wasted moment EVER.

And young Bruce has literally and figuratively GROWN into this role. (great handcuff scene and homage to Batman '66)

This is the Batman pre-Year One fans have clamored for

and they were able to do something ALL the movies and comics have never done a GREAT job explaining...

WHY the Batman CANNOT kill the Joker...under ANY circumstances.

http://www.bgol.us/forum/index.php?...just-as-guilty-for-letting-joker-live.807272/

Whoever directed THIS episode?

Should be up for consideration to direct the next Batman movie.

No one (besides Lee) irritated or confused or frustrated me...it was like a play EVERYONE played their parts perfectly.

Hell the cop who found Penguin and said "What did you do?" was GREAT!

They getting they rhythm again...I just hope they can sustain it.

Playa named him joker Ima call him Joker

And at this point...Jerome?

He is the Joker ...the trickster god, mayhem anarchy insanity randomness the last laugh...

he could be the father the son the inspiration or a clone for all we are about to know...

but I'm really enjoying the ride.

Bruce is finally acting like a man and his new found skills are a great addition.

That mirror scene was some of the best t.v. of the week.

"I'm not running , I purposely wanted you in here with me"

I'm wanting to see what penguin does next. He always had the best revenge plots.

I guess he won't hurt nigma though

 so I missed the past couple eps and now Penguin and Riddler are fags? The Flash is officially the best super hero series on tv.

In the end, this detour into the right tone, style and story for a Batman drama may be short lived. The last minute reveal that the Court of Owls’ new lieutenant is Gordon’s uncle is a sign that the show will swerve back into the stories it’s been (unconvincingly) building for a while when things start back up in April. But if only for the moment, “Gotham” acted like the hero the city needs.

GOTHAM Girl Jamie Chung Teleports To Fox Network's Untitled Marvel Mutant Pilot!!

Piping hot “Gotham” player Jamie Chung (she played Vicki’s aunt Val Vale) has been cast as the teleporting Clarice “Blink” Fong in another comic-book TV project, this time from Fox and Marvel and set in the X-Men universe.

The untitled Marvel/Fox project sounds a teensy bit like Stephen King’s “Firestarter,” with a family sporting superpowered mutants on the run from sinister government operatives. (Of course I’ve always secretly believed “Carrie” and “Firestarter” would never have existed had King not read Marvel’s X-Men comics.)

Masterminding the project is Matt Nix, the writer-producer whose earlier TV creations include “Complications,” “The Comedians,” “The Good Guys” and “Burn Notice.”

The Fox project is not to be confused with FX’s eight-episode “Legion” series, starring “Downton Abbey” lead Dan Stevens and based on the Marvel comics about Charles Xavier’s unstable mutant bastard David Haller.

Fox can't make an X-Men-related TV show without Disney's permission, and this pilot suggests to me that we're getting closer to the day when Magneto, Wolverine and Sue Storm will frolic alongside Phil Coulson, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Spider-Man in one big onscreen universe.

In May, TV Line speculated that Vicki Vale was coming to Gotham, and today, they canconfirm it.

Several weeks ago, TV Line had some details on several series regulars being added to the third season of Gotham. One recurring role on the casting call was described as an "ambitious young journalist" in her "late-20s." At that age, we can assume she won't be a love interest for Master Bruce as she has been in the comics and Tim Burton's 1989 film.

Back in 2012, we ranked Vale as the third-best comic book journalist of all-time. Here's why:

Very few people have been able to connect the dots and figure out just who exactly Batman really is, but Vicki Vale is one of those people. The character has had a strange history in terms of appearances. She was an often-used character through much of the Golden Age stories of Batman, but she was absent for the Silver Age, making only a handful of Bronze Age appearances before coming back full force in the late 1980s (with Kim Basinger's role in the 1989 Batman movie largely to thank for that). Vale lands on this list due to her tenacity and her intellect. In the pre-new 52 universe, Vale connected the dots and finally cracked the secret of Batman/Bruce Wayne. She even figured out the secret identities of Nightwing and Batgirl Barbara Gordon! Over the years though, she's faced down the likes of Catwoman herself, saved herself from Ra's al Ghul, and has stood her ground even when being told she was dead wrong about something when indeed she was not. She was also a key reporter in the events of "Battle for the Cowl." Vicki Vale is definitely not a reporter to underestimate!

Additionally, Vale appeared in the Batman: Arkham series of video games. She's an investigative reporter for the Gotham City Gazette, who is fearlessly dedicated to rooting out the ugly truths behind the city's corruption and poverty.

yeah they aint making that SAME mistake TWICE.

hell...WB needs to figure out if they can put him in the movie instead of Leto.

Nah the CW needs to figure out a way to get him and Riddler on Arrow once Fox gives up the Batman television rights(and bring him over as well)

Gotham
The Riddler finally introduces himself to Gotham in the synopsis for April 24’s episode, “How The Riddler Got His Name.”

Nygma convinces himself that he doesn’t need Penguin to succeed and begins to introduce himself to Gotham as “The Riddler.” Bullock and Lucius Fox get caught up in Nygma’s mind games, while Gordon learns troubling news about his father’s death. Meanwhile, the Court of the Owls reveals its next move.

The remaining episodes better be hot fire, because no way in hell a show should be on hiatus this long...

:fuckyousay::fuckyousay::fuckyousay::fuckyousay:

I do NOT understand why there isn't a more articles written about this recent phenomenon...

I personally think this is similar to how the NFL and he MLB have been stretching out the season.

These networks are trying to make sue every month of the year the most POPULAR shows are SOMEWHERE on the air...

and ALSO leaves open a window for binge streaming...

they aint slick.

If,they're going to continue to do that then more people are going to say fuck it and just binge watching it.

I'm at the point where now where, why should I watch a show every week when they're just going to take breaks off all the time.

At least, make a spinoff show to entertain people, between hiatus, something Marvel did,but got rid of it.

People don't have time to remember what day a show is coming back.Life is already complicated without these networks trying to make something even more complicated.

agreed

I liked how SHIELD had Agent Carter to partner with...

Cause what they gonna do when Arrow Flash Supernatural Supergirl Legends all go off at essentially the SAME time?

Hopefully izombie and maybe Black Lightning? can be in that rotation

this precisely why I thought they should have added Constantine.

Gotham's Erin Richards Says A "Big Change" Is Coming For Barbara

Gotham is home to some of the more eccentric characters in the DC Universe, and despite not originating from the books, Barbara Kean has managed to become one of the most popular in FOX's take on the Batman mythos. The character has changed a great deal since being introduced, and some theorize she could eventually take the popular Harley Quinn identity on later this season.

Gotham actress Erin Richards, who plays Kean on the hit show, recently spoke to Moviefone about the character's arc since she came on the scene. She's gone from fiance to inmate to challenging Penguin's underworld throne, and more changes are coming. Richards described finding the character's heart, and how she looks at her current girlfriend Tabitha.

"Then Tabitha, I would agree, yeah, that's her only other person that she actually feels a connection with, because everybody else she sort of uses. But Tabitha she really needs, and I think needs on several levels, like emotionally and physically, she needs to be protected by Tabitha because Tabitha can fight, and she can't fight. Yeah, I think that connection between them is something that she cherishes, even though she might not admit it. And, unfortunately, in this part of the season, we're going to see that very strained because of what's happening with them now." That separation will have an effect on Keane, with Richards saying "Oh, quite a lot! It's the culmination of the last episode. It leads to a big change in her."

Could that be the breaking point for her? She was also asked if she would eventually end up going more of a supervillain route. "Absolutely. I think it's sort of the next natural progression for her. We may or may not see something like that happening in the final episode [of the season]." When asked "do you hope it's a classic?" she said "I know what you're going for here. I know what it is, and it's great."

Guess fans will just have to wait and see, but it does seem like a genuine possibility, and the perfect setup to debut their own version of the popular character. You can find the synopsis for the next episode below.

The regular cast features: Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Morena Baccarin as Leslie Thompkins, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, Jessica Lucas as Tabitha Galavan, Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean, Maggie Geha as the future Poison Ivy, Michael Chiklis as Detective Nathaniel Barnes, and Benedict Samuel as Mad Hatter.

The guest cast includes James Remar as Frank Gordon and H. Foley as Winston Peters.

The spring premiere of Gotham, which is titled “Heroes Rise: How the Riddler Got His Name,” will air Monday, April 24 at 8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT on FOX.
