Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying to mistrust the CDC. As you alluded to, their information did save millions of lives- and not just with this pandemic but with prior potential pandemics. One can’t help but acknowledge that during the Trump presidency the CDC was locked in a battle against him and his administration to get that truth out.
I’m suggesting to supplement that with awareness of what the larger community of academia, pathologists, doctors and scientists (who are mostly in agreement with what the CDC proposes) has to say as the current presidential administration and states leadership move to enact policy.
This, along with using one’s common sense.
This is true but this push to explicitly distort history has been happening incrementally over the last several years. I graduated college more than 20 years ago and I remember even back then reading about how Texas impacts the nation with regard to what is covered in text books....SInce Texas was the largest purchaser of text books, the publishers would publish the text books distributed to the rest of the country based on how the books in texas were to be published....Given that fact, the way Texas decided what was to be included was through some advisory council and this advisory council was being politicized and was attempting at that point to include in the text books that slavery was the same thing as indentured servitude.
Now years later they have just all been able to continue to galvanize around this idea and assign a target/name to what they have been doing by demonizing critical race theory and pushing themselves as victims against what they are trying to brand as a racist teaching....It boggles the fucking mind

This was good I watched the first 25 mins and he basically confirms what I believe is the point of this attack against critical race theory.
As I mentioned earlier it’s a fabricated opposition by racist to associate any discussion of race with critical race theory.
No one is teaching CRT to children in public schools. CRT is a college level course that is taught to Law students to examine and debate the law and it’s relation to race, which means most people don’t and won’t know shit about it.
This is the dickhead who lied and started all this opposition and here he states what the purpose of it all was.

I disagree,. Malcolm actually identified what critical race theory is not. What the two other people gave were talking points that in no way align with what CRT is. It is not about teaching history. What I was alluding to earlier is to let them be. That road they're on is their road to hell. I say clear the way, let them hurry to their own demise. I say give them all the encouragement and support they could ever need. If they don't want to believe the experts, take full advantage of that. Why should we give one flying fuck what they do? Both the CDC and Dr. Fauci succeeded, that's why Trump was trying to publicly assassinate Dr. Fauci's character. Trump's Covid effort was a failure. Yet in spite of Trump losing by over 7 million votes, republicans will rollover and let Trump run again.
We just need to be vigilant and VOTE!
I wish some of these Maga people would bring up some things from any critical race theory based curriculum and explain why those lessons are wrong/bad, etc... so they have to explain and debate based on concrete shit, not the idea that they're making into a boogeyman/wedge
