Google Chromecast

so if my tv is on the antenna input and i cast something, the tv will automatically switch to the hdmi input that the chromecast is attached to.

when im done watching, is there any way to automatically switch back to antenna?

I can't get any video from Google Chrome tabs... Like... Noobroom... just the apps...

Videos on Chrome tabs just remain static on the tv while playing in the browser.

What am I doing wrong.

Did you install or enable the Google Cast extension in Chrome?

Click on Settings in Chrome, then Extensions, and enable "Google Cast"

After that when you have the video playing, you should see the Google Cast icon in the upper right corner.

Click on it, and it should send the video to the Chromecast.

If you use Incognito mode, you have to make sure to enable Google Cast. In a regular Chrome browser, it is enabled by default.

I hate how the comercial doesn't show that you need a power source, so if you tv doesn't have a usb plug you will have to plug it in the wall, its kinda misleading

Boo hoo. Even if mine did I wouldn't care. It's decent tech for $35. Why question it. I plugged mine into the USB power. Shit I never even realized was there and I was good. No complaints.
Fuck a boo hoo..deceptive marketing is not good business. $35 aint shit and I am actually happy with the product but I bought it off the strength of not seeing any wires for a clean look.

fuck that go watch the chromecast commercial again, not once did they show the device with a power source, they only showed it plugged in the tv like that's all you need to do, that's very misleading

ill try again when i get home. i have the app n did all that but i saw no cast icon on the videos and when i played them, they play on the computer but i just saw the static page that the vid was embedded on, on the tv screen.

ill figure it out. shit is nice. still building my htpc tho.

i want google to make it so that after x minutes of inactivity, chromecast switches the tv back to the default source. that way, no matter how complicated my setup eventually gets, anybody can pickup my tablet, pick a netflix movie and watch. and when they are done my shit goes back to however i had it.

the chromecast is plugged into your tv right? did you change it t the input of the hdmi? once doing that, chromecast will show up and the screen and say Ready to Cast. Then on your tablet, just press the cast button of the app you are using.

My tv has HDMI 1.4 inputs and they are not supplying power.

That's how I figured it would work because before the chromecast whenever I push media to my TV it would go from where its at to the media I just pushed. With the chromecast you have to choose the input.
