Peace Fam, Don't trip i know this is bgol but we created this ish and i got up on some beautiful artist from this site & the slammin music thread, something completely dif thread, the zatochi reggae thread, bgirl meditation thread, & the old school thread big up to all. but im looking to get my rock collection up i currently have nirvana, red hot chili peppers, maroon 5, res, black merda, & bad brains.

Oh shit mang, there's so much great rock shit out there.

Man, since you're already up on Nirvana, go out and get Cobain's ol' girl's record. Hole's "Live Through This" is one of the best best rock records of the '90s.

Go get Smashing Pumpkins "Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness". Jimmy Chamberlain is one of the best drummers in rock history

Cop something by The Police. They're like reggae/rock, but totally not corny.

Man, Led Zepplin is prolly the best rock band ever. Go out and cop "Zepplin IV". Dre, The Beastie Boys, and a bunch of other rappers have sampled "When the Levee Breaks"

Cant forget the classics. Hendrix, The Who, The Kinks, and don't forget about Funkadelic. "Maggot Brain" is some of the best guitar playin' ever put down on record.

Man WOLFMOTHER took it back to the classic rock. cant EVER go wrong with HENDRIX!! OR Led Zep. John Bonham on the skins is a beast!! Get some Rage against the Machine and ride to that. Gorrillaz is cool to. got that electonica/rock vibe. little hip hop thrown in there. I love Jack White. Dude is genius. I like bands that dont try to be too much. im never feeling "ACTS" like my chemical romance, good charlotte and bands like that. Just keep it real, and jam!!
Alot of the time check out the indie scene. These bands are still hungry. DURESS out of southern california is nice.

I heard today S.O.A.D. broke up and a few weeks ago Smashing Pumpkins dropped the first of two new hot ass singles  On a lesser note I think that Ozzy Osbourne has been replaced by a fuckin synthesizer. I Don't Wanna Stop is getting way way way too much airplay here in Central Ohio. Linkin Park is right back where they started by using a computer generated formula for their music :smh:

Did anybody else hear about a Nirvana concert in the last few days???????

You got some dope picks on here, man. There's a new band called The Matches you might wanna check out. They got a few real nice ones. And I've been goin to Brooklyn a lot lately to check out this band called The Smyrk. They're affiliated with Afropunk, I don't know if y'all know about that. Anyway, they got a black singer and he's dope. And they got a song about Venom's rejection from Spiderman called Dial V for Venom.

thanks for all the suggestions!! im listening to Tool now! thanks ClevelandDawg216 for the dl link. sounds good so far. Pitchdogg thanks for the links! Clutch got some ish! thanks to all again Led Zeppelin is the man of course along with jimmy and living color. ill try to check out all of these bands via youtube.

Most of the hot shit has already been mentioned. My favorite bands are Nine inch Nails and Bush. Most of the dope groups came out in the 90s. The new trendy bands sound like garbage(cry music.. like the rock version of tevon campbel..).

Oasis, Soundgargen, alice in chains, are some other good groups.

Put any of those groups into Pandora(google it if you aint up on it) and youll find similar style shit.

Dropped a FAT penny on two tix for the Halloween concert at MSG this fall. CAN...NOT...WAIT for that date to get here!!!!!
