Good article on the treatment for thyroid cancer

Yeah this is personal for me because my treatment was radioactive iodine and I had to isolate myself from peeps for 3 days.

And then every year when I get a scan, they give you a small dose of the RI and I can't be around peeps for 24 hours.

This was a good article. I just learned about thyroid disorders in school and they stressed that the I-131 treatment wasn't the most commonly used treatment because it has so many risks but the from the article it seems that it's use is more common that I thought. I think the biggest concern is that the dose has to somewhat be guessed and if a patient is given the wrong dose then they may have to wait months, weeks, or years to get another dose because the drug has such a long duration of action.

Good post! :)
