Good 1st date or date ideas

I was hoping some of the ladies & fellows can share some good date ideas. Some that are creative or just very simple but good. Thanks!

Really, it depends on the person who you are dating (their interests, dislikes, etc.)

However, some good date ideas include:
- the zoo or a nice museum with a good exhibit that will conjure about nice conversation
- amusement park
- sport event
- skating (rollerskating or ice skating)
- miniature golf
- try a new type of cuisine with her (i.e., Ethiopian, Vietnamese)
- creating something together (a food dish, pottery, etc.)
- dancing lessons (salsa, ballroom, etc.)
- play being a tourist in your city, and go somewhere together you'd never go alone in fear of looking like a tourist...lol

Particularly if the woman has a lot of spunk or drive, you want to woo her with more than the "typical first date (i.e., dinner and a movie)." However, you want to make sure, regardless of what the date is, to spark up good conversation so you know whether or not you'd like a second date...

The zoo is definately a good pic in the summer. If you wanna test her intellegence, hit up an art gallery, it won't take long to see how she thinks! LOL. Tried, tested and true! I took one girl to the Chicago museum of art and after 10 minutes...:smh:

If you live in a city with a nice aquarium, (chicago. atl) that's another hot pic. Dinner is cool, but coffee is better!

One of the best dates I ever had was a picnic in the park. He told me to meet him at the park and don't bring anything but my appetite. I was so impressed.

If she's eccletic, a poetry reading.

If she's artsy, a wine tasting or art gallery or art museum.

If she's a film buff, a classic movie theatre.

If she's physically fit & adventurous, take her rock climbing.

Some of my fav first dates:

Night on the town going from club to club and then ending up at a rotating restaurant watching the view of Atlanta.

A first time session of racquetball was fun, goofy and a great icebreaker.

Went to a go-kart track. That was FUN AS HELL!

Got my last tattoo and watched my date get his first. We also had a blast.

If you live in a city with an unusual museum that would be great to visit on a first date.

Fem whats up with that restaurant that rotates in ATL?? n i like the tattoo date thing. I try to keep my first dates under $20 (call me cheap)

My last couple of dates we went n got something to eat or play pool n then we end up in barnes n noble lookin at books n magazines (real cool n its free)

I kind of stay away from the dinner n movie thing its real typical n who wants to sit n look up at a screen with someone they barely know. Another good one is she comes over n WE cook n watch a dvd. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). Things that are obviously expensive seem like ur trying to hard unless its somethin u do on the reg.

We went to the SunDial on Peachtree St. Downtown.

I have a fascination with revolving restaurants ever since I went to Top of the World restaurant in Vegas.

YouTube has a vid that shows pics of some of the ones located here in the US.

When people do dinner and movie, they always go to dinner first. Do the movie first so you can talk about it...or go to a coffee bar/wind down spot afterwards.

Wine tastings are good. If you're in Atlanta, Grape is a cool restaurant (Atlantic Station). They are also a wine store, so on their menu, they have options for you to try 3 different wines from their extensive wine list - each one is categorized and has a full description. That's a good way to learn about wine and build in an ice breaker...food's good too. The stuffed portabella mushroom is the bomb (and I don't even like them that much otherwise).

^^^The Grape is nice.

Trying cuisine that you've never had before is good if you 2 are both open-minded.

Like here in Atlanta, going to the Imperial Fez, a Moroccan restaurant with live belly dancers.

The first time I had Japanese was on a date.
The first time I had Korean food was on a date.

Theatre is always a nice idea. And if you're in a state that has those mystery theatres where you have to solve a mystery, that's more fun. We had one here but it's closed down now.
