I've represented plaintiffs and defendants in wage and hour disputes. I could've gotten him out of this relatively painlessly. I had a client that allegedly underpaid employees by $15M. We settled in such a way where he paid his employees less than $800k. He paid the other attorneys $1M though. The case went on for years and he had more than a year to pay up.
