Trump says gas prices 'not very high' as most U.S. voters blame him for price spike

President Donald Trump on Thursday brushed aside concerns about much higher gas prices because of the Iran war, even as a new poll showed that most U.S. voters blame him for the pump price spike.

"Well, they are not very high," Trump told a reporter at the White House after she asked how much longer Americans would continue to see high gas prices.

Trump said those prices are not as high as what was expected they would be as a result of the war, which he said was aimed at denying Iran the ability to produce a nuclear weapon.

"Gas prices have come down very much in the last three or four days," Trump said. Gas prices have risen 49% since the beginning of 2026, according to prices tracked by AAA. They dropped by an average of 7 cents a gallon after a two-week ceasefire was announced last week...

Trump says Americans should expect higher gas prices for 'a little while'

President Donald Trump said Americans should anticipate paying higher prices at the gas pump "for a little while" as a result of the Iran war.

Trump said he is in no rush to make a peace deal with Tehran, claiming that the war has had less of an impact on both stocks and oil prices than he had expected.

Trump insisted that the U.S. has "total control" in the Strait of Hormuz and that he is the one keeping it closed for now…

…Since the start of the war, Trump and his allies have been trying to frame the hike in petrol prices as a temporary price worth paying to achieve the aims of the military campaign.

The US president reiterated that argument on Thursday when asked about the latest price increase.

“And you know what? And we’re not going to have a nuclear weapon in the hands of Iran,” the US president told reporters.

“The gas will go down. As soon as the war is over, it’ll drop like a rock.”…

Fuck it , make it 10

It’s coming.

Big Trucks that deliver everything to the stores use Diesel and Diesel is averaging more than $1 from gasoline.

The higher cost has yet to filter down to the American consumer. The high prices folks are paying now are due to tariffs.

Diesel prices should start filtering down later in May going into Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer and one of the biggest travel holidays of the year.

Corporations are still doing layoffs, unemployed folks can’t find jobs.

And the Orange Moron only cares about his damn ballroom.

It’s gonna be perfect storm here soon.

Grab the popcorn….

Two million airline seats cut amid soaring jet fuel prices

Rescheduling in May could be followed by summer cancellations as Middle East war continues to disrupt fuel supplies

About 13,000 fewer flights will operate in May around the world after recent cancellations, according to data from the aviation analytics company Cirium.

Although the figure represents less than 2% of global aviation capacity, and only a net 111 flights have disappeared from London Heathrow schedules it comes amid fears that the long-term supply of jet fuel could cause further summer cancellations, with UK airlines told at the weekend they could have more flexibility to consolidate flights on popular routes if needed.

Some of the 2m seats have been cut by using smaller planes, as well as outright cancellations...

Trump says he aims to suspend gas tax "for a period of time"

"I think it's a great idea," the president said. "Yup, we're going to take off the gas tax for a period of time, and when gas goes down, we'll let it phase back in."

My company picks up Coors from their brewery in Golden, CO. and Budweiser from their brewery in Ft. Collins, CO.

Loads coming out of those breweries have dropped significantly. Big orders usually go out in April/May cuz summer is coming.

Not this year….

Beer demand stumbles as gas prices surge, data shows

• U.S. beer volumes fell 6.3% year over year through the week ending May 2, reversing earlier improvements in Nielsen-tracked beer, malt beverage and cider trends.

• Higher gasoline prices could be pressuring convenience spending, with California showing the sharpest deterioration in beer sales.

• Weakness is spreading across beverages, suggesting broader U.S. consumer pressure as confidence falls to multiyear lows.

I been in the SLC/Utah area today and yesterday.

I noticed here in Utah seeing lots of people driving around on the streets on OHV’s (Off Highway Vehicles).

Utah allows them to register them with DMV and get plates for them. They can’t drive on Federal Interstates/Highways.

It looks like folks in this screwy state are using them as an alternative to using their gas guzzling pickup trucks/SUV’s.

Mali Hightower says he turned a pink Power Wheels Barbie Dream Camper into an errand-running vehicle by equipping it with a two-gallon, one-piston engine. He says it's his way of saving money, now that gasoline costs an average of $4.50 per gallon.

Surprisingly gas there is also cheaper than a majority. I miss Alabama gas, im sure gas there is the highest 3.50 to 3.80 while the rest of the South is 4 close to 5

The United States is using up most of their oil reserves
(We are selling & consuming more oil/gas than we are producing)
I've seen multiple accounts online saying that, "critical levels" will be reached sometime around the 4th of July
So.....if the strait of hormuz doesn't open up soon.....
We might actually start seeing gas SHORTAGES sometime in July/August !!! :(
