GM's Most Expensive EV Ever Costs Even More Than We Thought-Cadillac Celestiq.... $340,000

Non-Tesla US carmakers are in trouble when it comes to electric vehicles. GM is trying to use Tesla's playbook by first selling high-cost/high-profit margin vehicles until they are able to increase production numbers of lower-cost vehicles. The difference is that Tesla started in an environment where there were no competitors, a healthier economy and interest rates were low. GM, Ford, Stellantis, Lucid and Rivian have to try and increase production of EVs while losing money on the EVs they are producing. On top of that, their EVs are competing with Tesla's which are superior and priced lower per specs. I predict GM, Ford, Stellantis, and Lucid will get a government bailout or got bankrupt within 10 years.
