Yeah, we bailed out some dumbasses. The other side that the video left out is that even nobody was buying Buicks here, they kept Buick because the brand in China was doing very well. Back then before China caught up to our auto market a Buick was considered top end of the market luxury and a status symbol. Pretty much all the Buicks you see now (Envista, Envision, Encore)in their line-up is directly here because of what the brand was selling is China except the Enclave which is only Buick built specifically for the American market, albeit a rebadging of the Traverse/Acadia platform. Now, Buick is a dying brand in China because they have better domestic cars that are cheaper and the people aren't naive to what the Buick brand is worldwide. So expect Buick to die once soon.
