Giuliani, the city’s mayor on the day the World Trade Center was attacked, said Biden "doesn’t belong here” and "shouldn't come" to Manhattan this weekend during an appearance on WABC News Talk Radio.
The personal lawyer of former President Trump said Biden’s handling of the country’s Afghanistan withdrawal disqualifies him from the ceremony at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum Saturday.
“President Biden made decisions that were reckless, almost to the point of insanity,” said Giuliani.
Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden are scheduled to be part of the Ground Zero ceremonies.
Giuliani likened Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal to going to Ground Zero after 9/11 and saying, “Take out the firefighters and all you civilians, see if you can get yourselves out and maybe some terrorists can help you out.”
The 77-year-old went on to call the withdrawal “one of the most reckless acts in American history.”
“America’s mayor” last week in a TV interview said 9/11 happened in part because former President Bill Clinton was a “sucker” and likened his allegations against Clinton to Biden’s withdrawal.
“Remember, [Al Qaeda] had attacked us a couple of times and declared war against us, and basically Bill Clinton kind of did what Biden just did,” Giuliani said. “You know, a little strike here, a little strike there, a couple of fields that had no people in it. All that said … ‘I’ve got a sucker on my hands.’”
