In my opinion and I speak for myself only;
The first mistake the WNBA made was changing the color of the official game basketball.
Instead of the traditional orange or burnt orange basketball they selected the multi colored basketball as the their official game ball.
For me the mere color change of a basketball was visually a distraction that gave the WNBA game the appearance of a novelty or exhibition act like the Globetrotters.
I couldn't take their game serious and could only watch their games for maybe five minutes top but on the other hand I could watch a full women's collegiate ball game with no problem.
In the World Games and in the Olympic Games the Cuban and the Brazilian women's basketball team would wear spandex basketball shorts
that accentuated their thighs and buttocks and to me that was appealing to view as opposed to a WNBA basketball game were majority of the women looked liked battle axe's and feminine pulchritude is seldom seen.

He's right. They want to sell sex to men when it's beneficial for women like buying diamonds and shit or going out to eat, to buy a beer or for someone to turn a profit off some body spray or cologne. Corporations sell sex to men for profit all the time. If they sexed up WNBA more men would watch easy. If more of the women could look like Saana Lathan in L&B and actually play, more men would watch.
Most women aren't watching that many sport they could give a damn about the struggle of those women who play basketball to be appreciated for their skill. They only care so far as, "Men can do it so women should too".
That's about where their interest in womens basketball begins and ends. If they want the WNBA to see more attention they are gonna have to cater to the larger sports watching demographic.
