As @MikeGarafolo reports, Giants are releasing RB Brandon Jacobs.

Serviceable back but his usefulness is up.

Thanks for the memories, Brandon.

He will go down an ALL TIME GREAT GIANTS PLAYER...:yes::yes:
Big Brandon did his thing for US and As a fan, I am grateful for his contribution for MY FAVORITE FOOTBALL TEAM... Thanks, Brandon...

GOOD NEWS! we was payin him too much $$ to be getting tackled by cats half his size...plus he's a bit of a knucklehead. time for DJ ware to step up, or get a reliable 2nd/3rd RB as insurance for Bradshaw.

its been real Jacobs...ill never forget you trucking Charles Woodson during that playoff game in '07

Osi ain't going no where. We all knew Jacobs was leaving even before the Superbowl concluded after they won he wished Eli luck in the future he already knew. I pray we get a a replacement that compliment Bradshaw

Man, wit that O-line anyone could be a star. Cleveland is a practice squad RB's dream. Remember when Jerome Harrison went for like 300 yards? Even Chris Obyanna was notching hunid yard games behind that line. If you plug any decent RB there they will have success.

Two Lombardi's, he'll always get love from the Big Blue family.

I hope he has a good run where ever he winds up.

GO BIG BLUE!!!!

You better be prepared for the worst dude!

With the emergence of JPP (and the return of Clint Sintim) Osi's become a liability, if he was happy with his money this year (4 million) we'd have no problems but when you tie in winning a championship, Osi (as well as a few others) will be looking out for themselves now, with that being said I fully expect Osi to sit out this season unless he gets a new contract or is traded.

He has nothing to lose, 4 million is chickenfeed for a premier pass rusher, just look @ Julius Peppers or Dwight Freeney.

The Giants could pick up a few draft picks trading Osi.

Oh, and good luck to Jacobs, he needs to know his role, he's a complimentary back that needs to run straight ahead.

Them days of sitting out a season and getting credit for it are over. They have to sit out 2 years now (without pay).

But he could always pull a Peyton Hillis and get a hamstring "injury" for most of the season.

It was times like this that are why I'm not too sad to see him leave, he's acting a fool in the endzone yet on that occasion and damn near every single time they've played in the past decade the NO Saints HAVE OWNED the G-Men something fierce, all the way back to Joe Horn and the cell phone in the goal post game, the scores haven't even been close!!!

Then there's that Monday Night debacle in Cleveland when the Giants were undefeated and got spanked on national TV by a piss poor Eric Mangini coached Browns team, Jacobs scored the only TD the Giants had in the game and acted as if he had won the Super Bowl!

No team needs this scrub , happy trails fuck nigga

The Steelers need a short yardage back, to get 3rd and 2s, 2nd goals, so that they can banish the notion from Rapesbugger's every play is 60yard hail mary to Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown. If we had had this guy, we would have won that game against the Ravens where all we had to do was hold the ball for 3 minutes..
