As a card carrying Star Wars member. Yes I went to the official Star Wars convention in Orlando back in August.

I was there for the Panel Discussion with George Lucas. OUt of HIS OWN MOUTH he mentioned that he had been inspired by 3D technology to do MORE MOVIES.

He also revealed tha the first SIX movies will be released as a box set on BLU RAY next year.


But if they were to do an expanded universe movie I vote for Darth Bane:
But the story is probaly TOO DARK and surely not a story for LITTLE KIDS.

That's what I hate, I wish they could do a more adult Star Wars universe. However in this era of everything PG13 it will never happen. The Matrix Trilogy could have opened up the door to more adult sci-fi if the The Wachowski's had not mishandled the sequels.

No one is hating on Lucas; it was he that brought us the Star Wars universe. But...We don't want to see no Jar-Jar Bink having flicks. He needs to bring a more serious element to the movie.

As soon as Avatar came out I knew this was gonna happen. The technology that is out now is too tempting for him to let it go.

Basically. I completely understand it too. Lucas is a trail blazer with special effects, and Star Wars is responsible for that. Imagine how tight the original trilogy would be with todays technology.

Even though they are classics, the action and fight scenes aren't even close to the fights in the new trilogy. Obi Wan vs Vader in New Hope is laughable now..

By no coincidence, Starkiller, the codename Vader gave him, was the original name of Georg Lucas's main hero when he was conceiving Star Wars - before change the name to you-know-who.....

That's why someone else should do it - whoever did the CGI for the movie Van Helsing in the beginning when he was chasing Mr. Hyde in a barn. That's what I picture Bane looking like but with those Orbalisks attached to him drawing his energy. Lol.

I'm a die hard Star wars fan. Geek till I die. But Unless dude can create a concise, Movie, transcend the "Feed the lowest common factor" of audiences, he should stop.
Even though the effects of the old trilogy pales to 1-3, the story was TIGHT! in all 3.
He frakked up badly by playin to the common man. Play to people that have brains.. and can dig some depth, i'm sure he'll make loot. Hell Inception ruled the boxoffce for weeks, and that shit had a fuck your head up storyline.

Starkiller would be great since it is pertainent right now and the face and voice of the game is still young enough to pull it off on screen.

But I would love to see the Thrawn trilogy set as a three season tv series. The only issue would be recasting Luke, Leia, Han, Lando ... Which is why the only story to be told is one hundred plus years later.

After I read the books, I realized that Darth Bane is the Sith G.O.A.T.- even beyond Vader, in my opinion. I really hope SOMEONE eventually does his story. I think you need someone with experience in both character development AND action to do a Bane trilogy right (I'm thinking Chris Nolan off the top of my head).

The Prequel trilogy were *awful*. I think people like them so much because they got to see Anakin transform into Vader, regardless of how well the story played out in the films.

I pretty much gave up on George Lucas ever making another good Star Wars movie when KotOR came out. I thought to myself "if someone can make a video game with a story better than the movies, there is no hope".

The new Clone Wars series is pretty good, I just wish it kept some of the fact paced, brutal action that the original had. Sometimes the series slips into the familiar grounds of the movies.

The origin of the Apprentice would be nice.

The origins of the Jedi and Sith could be explained more.

i havent even finished watching the last 3...couldnt make it through them... Dude completely forgot about good writing,etc and went apeshit on the CGI..smh....the first 3 he made were fucking classics though

George Lucas didn't write shit on the original trilogy. All the credit goes to Lawrence Kasdan and the woman who helped write the script for the films. You can tell the difference in the dialogue between the original trilogy and the last three.
