
Garlic Sauteed Spinach
Sautéed Spinach with Garlic and Olive Oil
Ingredients:
1 pound fresh spinach, washed and trimmed
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
Juice of 1 lemon (optional)
Red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the sliced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
Add the fresh spinach to the skillet, tossing it with the garlic and oil.
Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the spinach is wilted and tender.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the spinach for added brightness.
For a little heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes on top before serving.
