They could of made the last chapter longer....with that said Im going to miss reading it.....

The last couple chapters were pages of internet troll comments wtf!!!!
It was a let down but the good parts were the shit so I can't deny that for a minute Gantz was my favorite and while the stories ending was very played out and disappointing I'm glad kurono could make it back in one piece and his boy got back together with his brother I don't think I saw that fucking toddler get back with that fake me out Ryu. All in all this dude lost interest and at least he finished the shit out and hasn't been dragging me around for damn near ten years like Hunter x Hunter has so thanks.
The little kid did get back with his super hero buddy, at the last scene where the crowd is standing at the beach they are at the back

He's dead, the aliens who created the black spheres and tech brought them to a special room where they told them the truth about everything. While telling them that human life is meaningless they ressurected Kishimoto, Sai Sakurai, old man, and reika. Then they killed em again and kurono 2 went crazy and tried to kill them and they exploded him. But the aliens said he'll be reincarnated as Reikas child with kishimoto as his little sister.
Thanks for the clarification prodigal, still think it was a truly sad ending for such a great piece of story telling, if what flawless said is true that they're making another story to explain how Gantz came to be then that will give me the 'closure' that the ending never did!
Those same aliens that killed kurono 2 already explained what gantz is; military technology that they encoded in signals sent to earth in order to help prepare them against the giant aliens that were coming to take over. The giant aliens had tried and failed to conquer their world. The signals were recieved by a wealthy german businessman (more specifically his daughter) and being a greedy fuck, he decided to add the gaming elements for profit.
I agree. That last arc dragged on way too long.
