I'm not exactly sure. It's a theory.

Perhaps the wall was built to stop Man.

Bran built it knowing that Man would not leave the children of the forest alone.

Bran the Builder may have had a connection (personal or Warged) to the children of the forest and that's why it was built.

Just ideas....
 
Man where the hell is Howland Reed? Dude is a major link. He could have dispelled the Rhaegar and Lyanna truth a long time ago not to mention his links all the way back to the rebellion. It’s a shame they cut him out

despite your behavior -I'll resist the urge to compare you with a decrepit elder with early onset dementia...

considering that the video makes an argument that w/ o GRRM's writing to draw from the show writers aren't talented enough to properly portray Tyrion's strategic pov and wit - it makes your reply seem silly

They then follow by arguing that story wise Tyrion is really on top of his game for the last season but was in a difficult situation - because Danny unintentionally with held crucial information from him - he felt the need to manipulate Danny ti go north at all costs - even if it meant assuring her Cersei will send troops north even though he knows better.
Before that - capturing the wyte was really proof for Danny not Cersei

Tyrion vs his family goes back much further than Joffrey's trial...and considering that Littlefinger and Olenna Tyrell patiently laid the groundwork to frame Tyrion & Sansa as patsies... the trial can not be attributed as Tyrion underestimating his family - considering how hard he went on warning and trying to get Shae to leave. When Joffrey died Tyrion was powerless and unable to maneuver plan or counter.
In the end the only thing that surprised Tyrion was the depths of Tywin's hypocrisy (the show did a piss poor job of building that up, not having Jaime tell Tyrion the truth about his first wife just before Tyrion discovers Shae in Tywin's bed... in contrast the story shown on screen lacked depth)

the mind that wrote the story that the show draws from - has not written this part of the story yet...

so maybe there will still be some ruthless twists but - I'm not expecting any of it to be truly surprising or well done

Correct... but the tricky part is, it’s all legend. There’s no actual proof or text proving this. It’s all just bed time stories told from generation to generation from elders like Old Nan.

Im not disputing how she feels about Jon being on the throne. She wants the throne. Shes believes wholeheartedly that it is her destiny.

Im disputing that the throne is her only focus in this story and that she is on her way to becoming The Mad Queen.

She is in Winterfell risking it all, after already losing so much, when instead she could already be sitting pretty on the throne. This already proves that you are wrong when you say ' won't let anything stand in the way of that period'. You think she doesnt realize that if things go south in Winterfell she wont have an army to fight Cersei anymore?

If she wasnt trying to do things right, Yara's team would be alive, The Sand snakes would be alive, Highgarden would be hers, Euron and Cersei would be dead, and all 3 of her dragons would be alive.

Next episode, we will see if Jon's revelation gets her to bail.

I actually learn towards them doing that solely to turn the knife after they've stabbed you with it. That's what they do on this show.

I think he's going to control the Ice Dragon. I'm rewatching the show and when that line came up that was the first thing that came to mind. Someone has to separate the Night King from the Dragon. Considering his powers, coupling him with the Ice Dragon is literally like making him Thanos.

Was going back and forth with my brother on this. He brought up a point I forgot.

In the house of the undying the Warlock told Dany she will suffer three betrayals. One for blood, one for money, and one for love...

Jon is going to kill her....or perhaps Tyrion...or even Jorah.

I'm thinking Jorah.

Jon gave Jorah honor back

Jorah LOVES Dany.

He will betray her for Jon Snow.

Have we seen anyone from the North say THANK YOU to Jon and Dany for putting an army together to help them fight the NK?

All they get for their help is hostility?

If I was Dany I really would treat them like the ungrateful fucks that they been.

You do realize that it don't stop at Winterfell Winterfell is the place to be in order to try and stop him from spreading through the entire continent by which time it'd be too many of them to try to even think of fighting right?
You do realize even if she leaves and goes to the island to chill until its over there will be NOBODY left to rule over right? Let's stop making this shit more noble than it is. It is most def a means to an end. If you end the Night King then she can go back to ruling the 7 kingdoms You can't rule 7 kingdoms if EVERYONE IS DEAD.
