Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

I guess you guys didn't pay attention to the conversation between Jaquen and Arya this season. Or last seasons interactions between Arya and the Hound, that she went from trying to kill him to trying to heal him, to preferring to be with him than go with Brienne. She was conflicted because he was on the list, but had become closer to her.

it gives her character and their relationship much more depth.

Everyone is laughing at this

And Im like

I dont get why this is funny, can someone tell me?

OK

I'm a lil LATE to the party but I just watched all 5 seasons in the last 2 weeks:eek:

GOOD SHIT like how this show flows. Tried to read the books 1st but decided to just watch the show for now.

was kinda reading thru this thread but around season 3 I was watching faster than I could keep up in this thread.

a lot of post from early on I would like to comment on but ya'll would be looking like:hmm:

for the past episode:

So nobody thought that how Stannis went out was kinda gangsta though? Facing an army 3 times larger than his? He says fuck it... raises his sword?

I think stannis by choosing dark magic started on a road he couldn't turn back from. IMO it was an interesting indictment on religion in general. He kept havin to make more and more bad decision to prove/follow his faith. Could have stayed at castle black but the war he had to fight was to the south. When he found himself stranded with men leaving and no way forward or back again in order to prove his faith he had to sacrifice his daughter. and when faced with an army 3 times larger he still had to prove his faith even if it meant his death.

His story reminded of Jim Jones and what he did to his followers.

Prince Doran should have gutted that bitch right there. He should have known that there was no way she would let shit go.
Now he's looking at a potential civil war within his own country and a war with the Lannisters.

Yeah soon as she tipped the cup big bro shoulda had that axe blade on its way:yes:

Jon should of killed him,immediately...but I guess,he needed him for his fighting skill...

Naw Jon would've shown him mercy but when that fat fuck admited to being scared and a coward jon's face of mercy turned to disgust, at that point :itsawrap:

is anybody as excited as me to see what Tyrion, Varys, Missendei and Grey Worm can do with Mereen? Varys is one of my favorite characters and he showed up just at the right time. You gotta admit thats a pretty impressive governing council.

Really look forward to this! damn shame to watch 5 seasons in just over a week and now I gotta wait till april

This really sums it up:yes:

if I was in that world

Fuck honor.

Fuck what's right

Get money and fuck bitches

HBO says Game of Thrones will be at least EIGHT seasons

It’s official: Game of Thrones won’t only go for seven seasons.

Even though Thrones showrunners have repeatedly declared they only want to make seven seasons of the fantasy hit, HBO programming president Michael Lombardo for the first time firmly proclaimed the series will go at least eight seasons.

“Seven-seasons-and-out has never been the [internal] conversation,” Lombardo said to critics at the Television Critics Association’s press tour Thursday. “The question is: How much beyond seven are we going to do? Obviously we’re shooting six now, hopefully discussing seven. [Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are] feel like there’s two more years after six. I would always love for them to change their minds, but that’s what we’re looking at right now.”

Okay, so what about doing a prequel series, since author George R.R. Martin has created a world with such a lengthy and detailed history?

“I would be open to anything that Dan and David wanted to do—about Game of Thrones, or any subject matter,” Lombardo said. “It really would depend fully on what they wanted to do. I think you’re right, there’s enormous storytelling to be mined in a prequel, if George and Dan and David decide they want to tackle that. At this point, all the focus is on the next few years of the show. We haven’t had any conversations about that at this point.”

Lombardo also defended Thrones from criticisms about the show’s violent season 5 content (Sansa Stark’s storyline in particular). “In the pilot episode we see a 7-year-old boy pushed to seemingly his death from a tower,” Lombardo said. “This show has had violence from the first episode. I can’t speak to any single person’s particular taste, but I think the show is phenomenal. It went to 20 million viewers this year, it went up over 1 million viewers from the prior season. The show continues to grow dramatically. There are no two showrunners who are more careful about now overstepping what they think the line is—and everybody has their own line. [What they show] is critical to the storytelling.”

The president was also asked—of course—if Jon Snow is really dead (especially since actor Kit Harington has been spotted in Belfast, where Thrones is primarily shot). Lombardo maintained the same stance as the rest of the show’s team.

“Dead is dead is dead,” he said. “He be dead. Um, yes. Everything I’ve seen, heard and read, Jon Snow is indeed dead.”

Before the panel, HBO also gave fans even more good news: Season 5 will be available on home video next month—much earlier than usual.

"Dead" does not mean that his character will not make an appearance in some form on the show next season.....

Jon Snow Totally Isn't Dead on Game of Thrones—Here's Every Clue That Proves It

At this point, if you think Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is dead on Game of Thrones, then you know nothing.

Not only are there a ton of theories on how Jon is vitally important to the ultimate end game of the HBO fantasy series, there have been a ton of spoilers and clues that have leaked since the shocking season five finale that have totally put our worries to rest about the Lord Commander's fate.
Sure, he was stabbed over and over by his fellow Night's Watchmen in the finale and left to bleed out in the snow under the moonlight. Sure, he and his cast mates have said over and over that Jon is dead. But here are all the clues that prove that Jon isn't actually gone for good.

Back on set?
Harington has been spotted in Belfast by Game of Thrones fans who have been quick enough to snap pics of him out and about with his co-stars. You've seen some pics, but there are even more now! So he's in the same town as the Game of Thrones set. For an extended period of time.
So either he's the nicest friend ever, visiting his "former" co-stars on set for fun for a super long time, or he's back filming for season six. We're guessing it's the latter. Because that'd be one long and boring vacation otherwise.

#HairWatch2015
Harington previously said he was going to cut off his long Jon Snow hair as soon as he was done with Game of Thrones. Understandable!
But in all these pics of him in Belfast, he's still sporting those long, luscious locks of Jon Snow hair and that scruffy facial hair that keeps the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch's face warm in those freezing conditions at the wall. So...yeah, draw your own conclusions.

The email
And here's the kicker: HBO might have accidentally spoiled Jon Snow's fate. Oops?
According to Pedestrian, the network sent out an email promoting their "Honour The Fallen: The Memoriam Collection" toys. Basically, it's a sale of toys for dead characters on the show...and there wasn't a single mention of Jon Snow in the dearly departed list.

So hey, if HBO isn't mourning the Lord Commander's death, then why should we?

Holy Sheeeeiiiittttt..... Al Swearengen is coming to Westeros.:yes:

Emmy nominated actor and "Deadwood" star Ian McShane is now joining Season 6 of "Game of Thrones," marking the actor’s return to the network where he first became a breakout star.

Details on McShane’s character are being kept tightly under wraps, but the report notes that his role will be “of key importance” to the series despite a relatively small amount of screen time during Season 6.

Right now, fan speculation is extremely high that Ian McShane will possibly play one of these 2 characters:

- Randyll Tarly (aka Samwell Tarly's Father who's "one of the greatest soldiers in Westeros”)

- Euron Greyjoy (aka Theon’s Crazy Uncle who is “an infamous pirate who has terrorized seas all around the world" who has a "touch of madness”)

However, with Bran Stark coming back in Season 6... I will add my own 3rd possibility to the mix:

- Howland Reed (aka Jojen Reed’s Father who saved Ned Stark’s life during Robert’s Rebellion and is quite possibly the only person STILL ALIVE who might know who Jon Snow's REAL mother is :dunno:)

Regardless of whoever Ian McShane plays on GoT… at least ONE THING is for certain….. With Al ’Swedgen’ on the show…. Stretchwallz’ future recaps are gonna include some HILARIOUS 'Deadwood' references.:D:yes:

Game of Thrones spoilers are dividing NFL locker rooms

Did you hear what happened to Jon Snow? If so, shut up about it. Some of your teammates aren’t caught up yet.

That’s the word around NFL locker rooms, where Game of Thrones spoilers threaten to turn teammates against each other like House Lannister and House Stark.

Kevin Clark of the Wall Street Journal reports that several NFL teams have a camp of players who are caught up on the hit HBO show and watch every Sunday night, while other players have just started watching and are stuck in a time when Robert Baratheon sat on the Iron Throne and Daenerys Targaryen hadn’t even earned the title Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, let alone Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons.

That means there are disputes about whether it’s OK to discuss Season 5, or whether being a good teammate means not spilling the beans about what the High Sparrow did to Cersei. Washington offensive lineman Kory Lichtensteiger said that if you know nothing and don’t want to hear spoilers, it’s on you to get caught up.

“I’ll wait a couple of days,” he said. “But I mean, if you haven’t watched it by then, close your ears. Earmuffs. I want to talk about it.”

Steelers linebacker Vince Williams, however, said the show is too complex for casual viewing, and he hasn’t had time to sit down and watch it with the attention it deserves. That means Williams wouldn’t know Daario Naharis from Ellaria Sand — and if any teammates spoil it, they’re going to have a problem.

“You have something going on in the South, the North, the Westeros and all of these conflicts have one main overall theme,” Williams said. “Do not tell me what happened. . . . I dare anyone to spoil it.”

It’s easy to see where Williams is coming from: You’d have to be as cruel as Ramsay Bolton to think it’s OK to spoil a teammate’s favorite TV show. On the other hand, asking Game of Thrones fans not to talk about what happened is a request that’s sure to be ignored like Princess Shireen’s pleas to Stannis.

It would be nice to think these teammates could find a way to compromise. But when you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.

Really? I know it's not quite Dora the Explorer but seriously?
There's nothing complicated about sitting your ass down and watching ANY damn show, 1 hour at a time.
